They hadn't planned this, not really. Sure, it came up in conversation on multiple occasions, with Indigo making it known that they wanted a family with Misha quite some time ago. The first time it happened had been embarrassing but with each conversation it seemed more like Misha wanted it too and wasn't just entertaining his love. So why on earth is Indigo so damn scared?

They aren't used to feeling this way around their partner. They've spent years in each others lives by now, what point was there to be shy or nervous? They experienced highs and lows together, like when Misha's body betrayed him or when Indigo's grief got too heavy. They made it through all of that, right? This was just another hurdle.

"Yeah. Surprise! You are the father." It was a stupid joke, a callback to a time when things were still fresh for them romantically. "If I had any idea about this, you know I would have talked to you first. But uhh, earlier today there was a little accident. I might have fainted during rehearsal and fallen off the tower... There was some freaking out by everyone involved and I got brought to the hospital and the dear old doctor told me about our little sea monkey. They're good, I'm good, please don't panic or anything." They're talking too much, too fast. The fear's eating them up. Since finding out Indigo has already decided that they want this desperately. There's a chance that Misha's going to leave them far too early, just like Nico had. To have a piece of Misha after he's gone... yeah, that's too special to pass up. Even if they hadn't planned this.

"I don't want to force you into anything but... I'm really happy about this, Mish. It feels like the right thing for us. A baby is literally a product of us, how much we love each other. And that lingers after we're both gone." Their breath catches on those words, their eyes suddenly shimmering with tears. "If you aren't on board, I get it. I just... I don't think I could terminate if you asked me to."
