If trees do have feelings, do you think they find humans terrifying because we build things out of their deceased friends and family? What kind of animal would you like to be if you had to be one? Do you like cupcakes? Is there anything odd you do when you can't sleep? (I like to bake and clean the kitchen.) Do you like to paint? What do you do when you hate what you've written?
“I see we’re getting rather… philosophical here. But as an actor, I quite enjoy that… so I suppose it’s quite all right. Let me think…”Trees, huh? And all of that. This is a lot of stuff!
“… I would not blame them for finding us so, if they do. After all, the idea of using human skin for writing has been banned for some time. As for what sort of animal… something quite magnificent… mm, perhaps… I am uncertain. A bird of sorts. Something fit to observe in silence, mostly, that is able to move about freely…”
But something that could protect other things… that would be quite marvelous in his eyes.
“Like most common folk, I do indeed enjoy sweets… including cupcakes, in moderation. I am not the sort to eat a lot of them. One is usually plenty. Too much sugar tends to… make me nervous, you see. On the subject of things when I cannot sleep…”
“Embarrassing as it is to admit, I’ve a tendency to pace and read, or attempt to go over lines, or bring some kind of performance to some book… there are many nights I am awake quite late, but I am unsure if this counts as ‘strange’. I do not paint; there are others more suited to the task than me. My craft is writing, and its sister, acting. I have much respect for those who can paint, however; I rather like paintings.”… And the last question…
“… Feelings change over time. Often times I will like what I write at the onset, but… after many years… sometimes… I begin to loathe it. But, by then, there is little I can do, unless I kept it personal. And, on principal, I don’t dispose of most of my work unless necessary, because it may still contain some idea I find to be of use… or at least show me how far I’ve come. Writers never cease to grow. Actors never plateau in their abilities…”His answer here is guarded, careful. He… has a lot of things he wishes he hasn’t written.“… Unfortunately for me, I have only just recently realized my penchant for writing things of the nonfiction sort without thinking.” Hah. His stupid letter… caused her to… ah, but, let’s not think about it.
I'm not sure how our muses could interact based on that meme so instead I am going to spam you with anonymous questions. Like. What is this man's favorite food? Does he like to sing when bathing? How does he manage to wash his long hair? Does he ever tie his hair up? What is the meaning of life? Does he thing trees have feelings?
“So many questions, goodness--”He fumbles to try and recall all that’s written... honestly, the mail he tends to get, or the things people ask him!“I do not have a particular favorite food, though I am rather smitten with wines and anything that compliments them. I have never sang while bathing unless practicing something in-character... and I wash it like any other person, by using soaps and the like and brushing it out. Sometimes I have to put it up to let things soak, of course. It is rather heavy when wet.”... The rest of those, though...“I can’t tell you the meaning of life; I’ve yet to find it myself. I rather don’t feel there is any one good answer, either way. And... trees...? I am quite sure that, if I could talk to them, I would know for sure. As of now, I am uncertain. It is a fun question to ponder, I suppose, but we’ve no way to know for certain, do we?”

Burlet/Gack needs more people to bond with other the theatre and fine wines. Basically: follow this blog for that, and also him being ridiculously unlucky and people maybe dying.
You have long hair and it would probably be soft. I'd like to pet it.
“... That is... somewhat of an odd request, but if you didn’t pull on it, I suppose I would not mind.”
100/10 would love to pet because hair
“... What does my hair have to do with this, precisely...?”He’s aware he has a lot of it, but... well. If you were trying to see him blush, good job, you achieved your end result.
Super hot hot man right there. Very attractive. 10/10 would keep looking at.
Well thanks, anon, now he’s red.“... A-are ratings truly so important?”
How does being really hot feel?
“I beg your pardon?”The what where. “My temperature is just fine. Unless you mean to call me, ah, attractive, in which case, ah... I suppose I do not exactly know. As an actor, I have always valued... trying to suit my roles, but...”Well. He knows he CAN be appealing. But he’s not one for a lot of romance. (See: how all his relationships end.)
“... My... thanks for the compliment regardless.”

Very far outside his world? That was such a weird way to word it. So far that it didn’t exist? That was even weirder. An eyebrow was raised as he repeated the name of that place in his mind, London. Well, he certainly hadn’t ever heard about it, but as much as he knew many places in Evillious, at least their names after studying them, he wasn’t surprised that some escaped him, perhaps a small town.
“Tell me more about London. I’d rather know where anything will be published if I accept.”
He was used to the odd speech and way to describe things and places from actors, writers and playrwights, but he’d like some more information than just “so far it doesn’t exist”. He preferred clear answers over way too dramatic ones.
“It was, perhaps, my hope you would be willing to discuss such matters over wine, my good sir? I brought my own, you see. I own a vineyard.” Telling him about London is going to. Take awhile. Aha. And though Burlet knows its history in good detail... mmm. He COULD take him back, but there’s no knowing what sort of havoc that’d cause... so, better not to chance such things. “I have come a very far way to meet with you, you see. It was quite difficult indeed.”

oh my GOD THIS LOSER
Reading Daughter of Evil more like
Sunk in the chair with half of his butt off already and prepared to fall to the floor in the smallest move Head completely tilted to the point his neck might as well just break Pen stuck in his hair
This is fine
Tic!
As you might know, Burlet has a LOT OF GOD DAMN HAIR in his present, uh, appearance. (Is he a shapeshifter is he not I just don’t know--) As a result, sometimes, when he’s let it down and he’s relaxing, Burlet likes to ball it up in his hands and play with it, almost as if to make a bun--especially if he’s stressed and trying to think really, really hard about a choice, or talking to someone, or a play, or a part, etc.
tic
If he’s reading something, and he’s not being “Gack”, Burlet has a hard time not reading it aloud, which tends to result in him being a little... overdramatic about it. Even if he’s trying to be quiet, he can’t help trying to voice ALL THE CHARACTERS in a book, or put tone to letters he gets.On that note, while he’s reading or writing, he taps his right foot on the floor very gently. (It’s always at a desk, in a nice chair.)
tic!
When he’s thinking about something, Burlet has a tendency to rub his chin a lot. It’s probably pretty obvious from the manga, especially, but he’s very hands-on while he’s thinking. Sometimes, he’ll also use a finger to tap his elbow.
tic
When he’s by himself, Burlet has a horrible tendency to narrate things. Like, you know, an author. Quietly. Aloud. Especially if he’s trying to consider a decision. He feels like it helps him put into perspective what he’s doing.
ROLEPLAY EXERCISE: Send me an ask with “TIC” and I will tell you one of my character’s nervous or idle tics. (EX: touching your ear, scratching your nose, tapping a finger, etc.)

“Alright, then.” Just because there was money involved. But he still didn’t like the idea. He could sell parts of his life, but even his whole fortune couldn’t buy the others. He had a life to keep, after all.
“Let’s see what can I answer. Be it in Evillious or not, I don’t like the idea of it being published anywhere.”
“Ah... you misunderstand. I am from London, which is very far outside your world indeed. So far outside it as to not exist near it, in fact, although it has its similarities, particularly with your country of Marlon... but I digress.” Hmm... how to phrase it... “It will almost certainly be published. I am a writer, after all. You cannot stop that. But I intend to get your viewpoint, before I finish this next... let us call it... ‘story arc’. Yes.”
