“After work play” Bienal da Maia 2017

"After work play” Bienal da Maia 2017

One months ago my intervention “After work play” for the Bienal da Maia 2017 has been presented to the public. It consists of five azulejos walls where digital illustration and traditional craft meet thanks to the collaboration with the Atelier Joaquim Pombal. Inspired by Italo Calvino short novel “Adventure of two spouses”, part of the Difficoult Loves collection, the walls depict a day in the life of a worker of the Fabrica3ás, once devoted to the production of oil from sunflowers and cereals. From sunrise to sunset the worker acts in a landscape which is both a familair companion and an important element for the production process. Many thanks to Paulo Dos Sousa for the photo!
