It was a thought that was shared with a lot of people, their little operation being well hidden. It had worked so far, in their defence. Juno and Axel both had no reason to think otherwise. Hence the situation about to unfold. Juno was doing what Juno did best. Telling other people what to do. Directing a few members of the gang to make sure their product was well hidden, she watches idly as they saunter off to double check their work.
It didn’t take Juno, even with her lack of enhances senses, to notice the rumbling of the truck outside of the warehouse. Nothing out of the ordinary, normally, but as she mentally thumbed through a list of deliveries, her nose scrunches and eyebrows furrow. There was nothing for today. As the thought drives her actions, she turns on her heel, stepping quickly toward the door to check on the situation.
That was, until, the black dressed brunette steps through it, calling out for Axel. It made her pause. It was a quick, Juno catching sight of someone she did not recognize and reaching for the small of her back, pulling her gun quickly and pointing it at the trespasser. “Who the fuck are you?” She asks, the end of the pistol she held steadily focused on what Juno could only assume is a model. What the hell was she even doing here?
Those that Juno ordered around were doing as directed, until they too paused to listen to the truck. Nothing was scheduled, and tension rose quickly. Unhelped by the brazen entrance of the woman and her armed guard that strode in shortly thereafter. Watching as Juno was quick to draw, those armed followed suit in defense of their boss. Stand off.
Axel emerged from the office that opened out onto the stairs leading down into the warehouse proper, stepping down the first few stairs before he leaned against the metal rail to survey the scene below him. He had been drawn out by the unfamiliar name calling him, and the subsequent commotion. His brows pulled down, he didn’t recognise this woman, but as he looked over the man that came with her he couldn’t shake the odd sense of familiarity to it.
It was then that her scent reached his nose and his heart sank. The scent of a pride that resided far, far away, but had ended up here on the warehouse floor. He started to descend the stairs, a fear spreading through him as he called out, “Easy Juno, I know this one– or at least, who she works for,” He told her, the other men that had stood up to support Juno hesitated, but did as Axel said as boots hit the concrete floor, they lowered their weapons, “there’s a certain scent to a pride. And this is one you don’t forget to easy.” He commented as he approached.
His jaw cocked as he moved to stand beside his second, “But I don’t know you,” He commented towards Gianna, “You’re a long way from Detroit, kitten.” Axel quipped, “I’m flattered of course. For Citrine to send one of her illustrious pride so far from home just for little ol’ me.” But there was barely a shred of humour to his tone, especially when he cut to the chase, “What’re you doin’ here?”
It was like a scene from a movie, the way all the guns flew up in her direction. She sensed the man behind her reach for his own piece, and she simply reached behind her, fingers extended in a way to tell him to stand down before he’d even been at attention. Gianna was close enough to the end of the woman’s pistol that she could see down it, a soft chuckle escaping her lips as she looked at the woman square on. Only when she heard the voice she had been looking for did she look away from the woman before her.
Gianna watched as, one by one, the guns lowered. Eventually she’d be free and clear in the guns pointed at her direction. Once she was, she let her eyes scan the gang that she found herself surrounded by, looking at each one before settling back on the bastet before her. There was always something exciting about finding another of their kind in the world, especially when the wolves dominated the way they did.
“Axel, I was under the impression that you liked you’re women a little more....docile.” She glanced back at Juno, her eyes skimming over her in an appreciative fashion. “Unless you’ve upgraded since getting back in the game?” she asked as she looked back at him. He wasted no time calling her out for her arrival.
Gianna sighed, looking back at the man behind her and giving him a nod. “Since you asked so nicely.” She looked back at Axel. “Citrine sends her love.” She grinned. “So much so that she wanted to send you a little gift, something to make your kingdom a little easier to maintain this time around.” She said, just as the truck backed up to the open dock doors. Axel and Juno would see men come around almost instantly to open the door, crates piled high on the inside.
