Skippy and Buzz the degus, my two loyal and squeaky pals. Up front we have Buzz wondering why you're not currently feeding him treats and hiding behind him is Skippy worried that you might in fact be some sort of eagle and not a large, hairless ape.

For fans of dinosaurs, weddings and Top Trumps, these were great fun to make and I learned a lot about Adobe Illustrator in the process!
Feel free to print them out for a FREE fairly limited game of Top Trumps.
I've been itching to put these up for a while now, but as they were part of the decoration for my wedding, they've been being kept strictly secret.
Well now they're not!
The effects of Monday on the mind...
Sunday is a good day to draw tyrannosaurs.
In honour of passing my 30th birthday...
OH GOD MAKE IT STOP
To mis-quote Dr Leonard McCoy, January is is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence. It's a month we all have to endure. It's seventeen weeks long and it's only light for eight minutes a day. Here are my feelings in visual form.
Here's an idea I've been tinkering with since my fiancé put the words into my head upon seeing The Martian. I keep coming back to it and changing my mind on the idea and composition. Here's one version; more can be expected. Inspirational advice, I feel.
And if you've not seen The Martian, watch it. It's ace.
I was playing around with the idea of a new profile pic, with a giant crab claw looking like a monster head over a city, but on reflection decided the current one is more fun.
Here's a pre-Christmas project I've been itching to show everyone, but couldn't because it was a Christmas present! The canvas print turned out great, very pleased with the quality. The drawing itself was a learning process with Adobe Illustrator - I crashed the computer a lot before I learned more efficient methods.
Merry Christmas from our little hairy angel.
It's that wonderful time of year when people gather together with friends and family and hope for peace, prosperity, love, and the successful cloning of the majestic Tyrannosaurus Rex. Here's wishing Seasons greetings, Merry Christmas and Successful Genetic Experimentation to all from Giant Crab Design!
And the last in this series of requests: my sister’s other very long dog. A basset hound this time. He is a lovely dog, and sometimes when he was a puppy, he tripped over his ears.
Another request, this time by a zooarchaeologist who specialises in ducks. That person exists and I shared a house with him for a couple of years. Nice chap. Knows a lot about ducks.
This was a request I received from someone who has spent her life insisting limpets have a face on the underneath. Far be it for me to stand in the way of wild-eyed, easily disproved conjecture, I drew the above anatomy. Then I put it on a t-shirt, which was bought by several people. So if you ever meet anyone in a pub or yelling at traffic or whatever, and they claim limpets have a face on the underside, I may be partially to blame.
Back in 2013, a friend and his now wife asked me to draw animal designs for the tables at their wedding. I was working as an archaeologist at the time, travelling all over Gloucestershire, and spent my evenings drawing these using a stylus on my iPad. The dog is my sister’s sausage dog. I’m not sure who owns the other animals so I’m just going to guess the Queen does.
