eliksni are omnivorous, we know this because of the vault of glass mystery!
most common vegetable wasnt far from a potato here on earth and could even be prepared in much the same ways as potatoes, fries, mashed, hashbrowns, tater tots, etc, but was commonly eaten almost like a burrito, typically partially hollowed and filled with meats, sauces and other vegetables/garnishes (the part removed to fill it with stuff was then slapped on top)
nomadic groups were more carnivorous than omnivorous but they still ate some vegetables and fruits, typically theyd be preserved in some manner
venison is as close as they can get to the most popular meat from their homeworld, but its still miles off
stew is a favorite for a lot of crews, because you just throw everything into a big pot
cooking is primarily a male activity, but hunting is for both genders, and finding edible earth vegetables/fruits is an experiment best left to the medics
like i said before though, eliksni have powerful and strong stomachs and could survive on garbage (literal garbage) if they had to
for them, bread was more like a tortilla or naan type of item
eliksni got their claws on human bread once and thought it was the worst thing theyd ever eaten… they then proceeded to steal as much of it as they could
theyll eat a whole pineapple if you let them, skin and all, the whole thing
someone once found one of caydes ascendant artichokes and tried to eat it, since then, eliksni have sworn off anything that looks like an artichoke
a long time ago one tried to eat a human but reportedly humans “taste undercooked no matter how long you cook them for” and that was the end of it
