Hiatus

so, as im sure you’ve probably noticed i kinda haven’t been posting art. so i guess i should talk about that. but ill put it under a cut so i dont clog up your dashboards.

Alright, so I’ve struggled with depression for the better portion of my life and I have a lot of weird mental links with satisfaction of my art and my self-worth and lately ive been feeling incredibly dissatisfied with my art. Due to tons of emotional abuse and shit.

Ever since middle school i felt i had to stifle who i was and what i liked to survive and created this mental barrier. I feel like a hull of a person but I’ve only just recently began to explore who i am and what i like. Its been exhilarating and fun but. Now im frustrated that i cant fucking figure out how to incorporate that into my art??? I cant FEEL ENOUGH to put it into my art and its more than likely a side effect of depression.

Basically i just really want to take a break and fall back in love with myself/some aesthetics/and art again. its a passion for me and i dont want to give up on it forever bc its my love.

My dissatisfaction and frankly, fear of failure, It keeps getting worse and my depression has kinda slumped down into this amorphous black tar pit. so uh. Yeah im gonna take a break from drawing to try and find more of myself and what i like. and when i come back i hope its better than ever before.
