Jonathan has multiple formulas and the exact formula he uses changes from day to day. He is also regularly enhancing the chemical composition and making it ever more potent.
Crane is immune to several variants of his toxin, but because he is always creating a stronger chemical, he is not immune to every strain.
The scent of Fear Toxin differs from person to person. It’s strong chemical smell that changes based on the victim’s phobias. For example: it someone fears downing, the toxin might smell of the ocean.
In a controlled environment, Fear toxin tastes similar to cough syrup, not that you’d want to taste it. Otherwise, like it’s scent, it’s taste changes to suit the victim’s phobias.
Usually Jonathan does not know what his test subjects are seeing under the influence of Fear Toxin, but some variants of the chemical can bring fourth specific fears such as spiders or cockroaches.
Fear Toxin is most effective in it’s liquid from, but it’s reach spreads farther has a gas. Each version has it’s advantages and disadvantages. .
Some side effects of fear toxin include: intense anxiety, nightmares and night terrors, relentless crying, heart palpitations, dizziness, insomnia, and irregular heart beat.
The toxin can effect you long after the initial exposure. Test Subjects have experienced nightmares and panic attacks days to weeks after their injections or after being exposed to the gas in high quantities.
