CHAPTER ONE: Storming The Castle
Within the sea of pink clouds, you see a figure, tall and regal, sitting on a throne of ice and gold.
You feel cold.
wip
ok how the hell do you guys keep finding this blog it's like 50% dead atp
(need to find a moment to like clear out the mental blockades and continue it. I like this blog it's fun)
hey so guess who got #burntout again and is now in another askblog to cope. eyah. this new one has no lore nor headcanons tho so i thin i'll be ok. sorry guys, replies will take like 54 years
A ghost of someone familiar approaches through the fog, their form bleary and translucent as they hold a small flame in their palms. They don't feel cold, they have nothing to feel with, but they are searching, searching for someone they remember through the dreamy mind scape of Nirvana.
"King!?..My king!?.. Where are you? Surely you're not here, surely the magic is wrong..."
The voice sounds familiar, and through the clouds and fog the shape of a familiar wizards hat can be made out as they clutch something close to themselves.
( @ghostly-wizardry-in-the-kitchen )
And the king stiffens from where he sits on his throne of ice and dreams, hands gripping the arms of his seat as if his life (and how ironic, life) depended on it.
"...Hello?"
Please don't let it be who he thinks it is.
Please.
The ghost wizard pauses hearing the voice call out. His King, at least he thinks that's correct. He truly was here..
For once in his afterlife he feels the need to straighten up, adjusting glasses upon his face, fixing his hat, and adjusting his robes to look semi-presentable. Then stepping out of the clouds is the all too familiar wizard, cradling a small flame close.
"My king.. you're actually here.. I..."
He wishes he knew how to continue this , to react, anything . But this is the last place he hoped to find the King next to Telamons Mannor
"..."
No. No, no, no.
His hold tightens further, ice shards gripping into his palms- they should hurt, but they don't, don't they?
"How did you- How-"
The king's mind cycles through the possibilities.
"..No... No, there is.. no, do not tell me it's true..."
I must say I'm glad you've returned and I'm very excited to see what you have planned for your other rp blogs
But first and foremost welcome back and I hope all is well!

Could we get some clarification on that familiarity, my good king?
"Just... familiar. Dark hallways, silent... water."
The king pauses.
"Technology I do not understand. It's brief. Quick. Flashes of... creatures."
Anyone HERE know what the hell Urbanshade is? Surely someone's got to!
Urbanshade, you say?
Well, in a world like Block Tales, you'd think there was nobody who did!
...well, besides ..
Someone who's weilded the ICE DAGGER. A person who's heard it's whispers of the future.
CRUEL KING looks up from his throne.
"...That name is quite familiar."
Hey. Cap'n?
Your name is Captain Trotter. You're in charge of a pirate crew that frequents Vermillion Village. Your right hand is Calypso- you saved her when she got lost in the desert and nearly died. Can you tell me your name?
He knows his name, yes. It's- he remembers. He can hear you, he's real.
He can answer that, that's easy.
He opens his mouth, but all he can feel is the gurgling of his own throat. Magma. Blood. Ash. It sticks to his mouth, sticks to his tongue, burns his jaw, and he can't speak- all that comes out is just silence.
How interesting.
. > [ a visitor is a visitor, as they say. ] . > [ It started as a subtle feeling, like dread but not quite, the feeling of fear without reason.. ] . > [ And that was when Phobos came into view, a panicked, mess of a "teen" realizing they weren't in immediate danger, atleast not danger they could see. And their gaze quickly settled on the king.. ] . > "ah-" . > "Yo-ou're the- Icedagger wielder- ... the la-ate one..." - @fearforest
Look upon the KING, for he may be the last thing you see.
That would be the case if not for the strange soft glimmer in his eyes.
He holds himself differently now. Calmer. Quieter. Smaller.
That I am. Are you alright?
. > [ Phobos' pupils dilated, they shifted on their feet and frowned, internally glad that they were not immediately struck down. ] . > "a-as fine as I can be.. Are you?" . > [ They remembered the King, through multiple memories that were not theirs. Some pleasant, some not so pleasant. But it left a distant aching, guilt maybe. ] . > "and.. is the being of ha-atred here. I'd like to avo-id it."
I am okay. Thank you for asking.
He notices their nervousness, the subtle shift in posture and the way Phobos held themself that all screamed Fear.
The being of hatred... it.. is.
He chose his words carefully.
However, it is in a deeper... layer, of sorts, in this place. If you stay in this layer- and, maybe, the layer after this one, you should be able to keep away from it.
*The subtle click clack of heeled boots against ground echos through Nirvana.
A presence approachs. A lingering feeling of death and dread follows.
But... There's also another air about the figure. Comfort. Calm. Like the beginning of an end, and yet beginning again.
It is hard to tell from the distance, and through the mist that clings to the other, but one might be able to make out the silhouette of a long, trailing cloak.*
"Hello? Is anyone there? I do hope I got the right place..."
*They sound a bit like... Shedletsky?*
(This ask is mostly meant for Cruel King, but can be directed towards anyone if you'd like!)
- @telamon-of-a-loath-dev
The former king of Blackrock looks up from where he rests on his throne, his gaze falling upon the new figure. This one is different. Regal. Powerful, it seems.
He knows he is in the presence of someone powerful. What can a dream do to a god?
With a wave of his hand (and some effort), the cold fog swirling around him disappears, leaving the only source of blurriness being from the newcomer.
Hello there.
*The figure steps closer. The fog around him swirls at the movement, it's hold on the being slipping. Leaving only the god in it's wake.
Telamon.*
"Hello there!"
*He mirrors, smiling with enthusiasm unbefitting of his status.*
"Just the person I was looking for!
How, might I ask, did a King like yourself end up in a place like this?"
*Though his presence is intimidating, his tone is not accusatory. Rather, it's curious. Light-hearted.*
Hm.
He doesn't recognize this figure. He knows he should. There's something deeply, deeply wrong.
I have arrived here through death. An end befitting of my actions.
The king stands up from his throne, descending the faintly pink stairways covered in frost and snow to meet the newcomer.
May I ask what you need of me?
*The being's smile faulters as it observes the expression on the royal's face. There no recognition in his eyes.
But then the grin is back just a quick as it fell.
He isn't a being in need or recognition after all. It might be nice to interact with someone clueless for once.*
"Well yes, I got the death part. But why here? I've never seen this place before..."
*He glances around again, observing his surroundings oddly.*
"I was looking to give you the second chance you deserve...
Perhaps I was too late."
...Perhaps you were.
The king frowns softly, nodding his head in recognition of the other's status.
But perhaps I could still make your visit here worthwhile? I am not quite... sure as to why I'm here, of all places.
That frown becomes a small smile.
However, I do believe that this is my second chance, so I am admittedly satisfied on that front.
Wait. I just remembered.
Captain? Are you there? -🌿
He can't see. He can't see and that's all he can think of. He can't see, nor hear, nor smell, nor taste, nor feel. Nothing.
All he can do, is reach out. Reach out and try. If he's moving, he can't tell. All is darkness. He doesn't know where he is anymore.
It watches with no less amusement.
This is fascinating to it.
He is so determined.
How interesting.
[ask 2.]
Player huffs, he was losing this battle. It was painfully obvious by its injuries, the way it stood unsteady, using its sword to keep itself up straight. This wasn't looking good. What was it even fighting anymore? He couldn't tell.... Looked like a pot with legs, a camel, and a pharaoh??? Something similar.
He looked tired, exhausted. It was on its way back to Shedletsky and these things ran up on her. She used what was left of his SP, pulling a card from his pocket and raising it up towards the sky.
[ Call Cruel King ]
It hoped that'd work. He's never used one of these, usually it didn't need to. But it did have King's, Griefer's, the Twins, and Calypso's.
- @questgiven .
He's cold.
He's always cold. It's not something that ever changes.
But today, something is different. A pull.
The Call Card.
He opens his eyes and is greeted with light.
It's different. New. He feels... solid, in a sense. Solid. Real. Urgent.
YOU are hurt. YOU are in danger.
He raises his hand in the direction of the enemy, feeling frost gather at his fingertips and into the chill metal in his hand.
Scepter Strike.
Player looked ready to pass out, a small smile splayed on his face knowing that it worked and maybe the man could help.
He pulls his ball from his bag, charging up and throwing it. Surprisingly he landed the hit and he did it well because whatever he did made the camel dizzy.
She searches through her bag for any food items at all, but finds herself a bit short. The battle before this had taken much out of them, food and items included.
Hm.
The king's hand reaches under his cloak, and comes back out- with a pie? Useful.
He hands it to you before readying his scepter again for a smack.
Defend or focus, please. Take this moment to heal up.
The player nods, biting into the food and gaining HP, supposedly. He decided he'd focus, an ice dagger would be good right about now..
Ironic because it was the KING here but it did help! She does a small movement, the sword energy rising. She adjusts the cap on his head, the bill of it now facing backwards.
If he got enough sword energy he could just use the firebrand. It'd help here.
He picks a random target- that strange pot thing looked like the closest one, and the quicker one target went down, the less you had to worry about attacks.
SMACK!
That was fast.
The thing shattered into shards at his attack, and he quickly falls back to rejoin you.
Have you healed up yet?
"Getting there.."
They mumbled, digging around in their bag for a moment.
"Think.. need dagger.. Sword energy too low.."
It tried to form a coherent enough sentence. It was struggling due to not talking very often. This may've been the kings fourth? Time ever hearing them.
She unsheathed her iron sword, attacking the nearest thing, lowering the camel's health a bit. Wasn't a good hit but was good enough.
At worst Player was nauseous, but was recovering.
"Thank for pie."
Of course.
The king moves for another scepter smack, this time at the same camel you had just attacked. It takes quite a bit of damage, and he exhales, hopping back to rejoin you.
If you need any more supplies... I have quite a bit that will go to waste otherwise.
He's understandably shocked at how much you were talking- but it doesn't show on his face. There's a time and place for situations like this, and this was not one of them.
The Player coughed, too much talking. He planned his next move, deciding to focus. But couldn't have his turn without the enemies attacking no?
The camel places a curse on the Player. That'd hinder her greatly.
He groans. The pharaoh has yet to attack and he hopes it won't be him it was attacking. Admins knows he needs to save the strength.
Hm. That is a problem.
The king moves in front of you, catching the enemy's attention.
He's gotten rusty, it seems, as the pharaoh manages to hit him with its strange relic. He feels a force connecting his health to it.
That's a problem. He'll need to deal with that first, it seems.
I believe it is some form of health-funneling.
It looked, worry crept into his expression but he tried not to let it show too much. Being able to focus now.
He does just that. The sword energy should be up enough to ice dagger. He'll do it next turn unless the king does so first. She doesn't mind either option.
They didn't quite know how to help about that thing, the pharaoh was annoying at best it would just be best to kill the damned thing and heal later.. least.. that's what he did when getting through this section of the temple.
Another scepter strike, freezing the two remaining enemies. They thaw out quickly, though- and the king frowns, trying to hide his annoyance at how quickly they managed to shrug it off.
That camel. You should be able to kill that one if you time your shots right. Remember your training.
That tone is authoritative but comforting, isn't it? The way he looks at you with full confidence that you can do it- you can. You can do it.
"Can.. you?"
It tried to ask for the other to ice dagger while he charges up a sword attack. It'll do that.
He adjusts his cap and fidgets with her backpack straps.
Oh, yes. Apologies.
The ICE DAGGER appears in his hand (he shudders at its cold surface, it feels like it always did) and he raises it up, restoring hp to the both of them.
The king lets the SWORD disappear back into wherever it resided in your backpack. He'd rather not have to touch that again.
Will that suffice?
"Thank.. thank much.."
Player nods, walking close to the camel and hitting it with his sword. It perishes. They huff, this was tiring. Hopefully it'd end soon.
Player tucks hair behind its ear, getting it out of its vision.
Hm. Heal up. I can handle this last one.
The king steps forward again, once again taking the enemy's attention and feeling its relic stab deep into his arm. He winces, but takes the pharaoh's brief pause as an opportunity to strike at it with his scepter. It goes down.
Hey cruel king! Did you know that the Wizard Kitchen is dead? They're called Ghost Chef in Telamon's Manor now! Helped the player out quite a lot.
...He is... what?
