villagers of stardew valley pt 6
it's about time we ended the reign of the evil wizard
When the Wizard, grasping for straws to get Elphaba on board, reaches around for Glinda, hauls her forward, and awkwardly declares, “you can even bring your…friend…” in a last ditch effort to win her over?? Like queer subtext or no, that man 1000% assumed they were already dating.
CYNTHIA ERIVO and JEFF GOLDBLUM behind the scenes of Wicked: Part One (2024)
One thing I think is hilarious about Wicked (the musical and movie) is that they don’t say what happens to the Wizard.
I understand that’s done very intentionally in Wicked with the whole “no one mourns the wicked no one cries they won’t return” thing. But I like to imagine what would happen if he DID make it back. Observe:
Auntie Em: “Child where were you?” Dorothy: “Oh Auntie Em! I had the most awful dream! It was as if you were there, and you were there, and… wait I think that man was actually there.” The Wizard (desperately trying to run away before getting tangled in the remains of his crashed balloon): “What? No. No, I was not! Clearly, the poor child is still traumatized by that terrible storm!” Dorothy: “He wouldn’t let me go home until I helped him kill someone.”
