We often think of death as this horrid, scary, sad space. But what if it’s awesome, stunning, utterly transforming? What if we only fear it because we do not know it, and we only associate loss with it. These are the questions I was asking myself in preparation for Unspoken, a collaborative project with @studiospacenyc curated by @zahrasherzad for @killerimpact, and inspired by @angelawilcox. It was my complete honor to work with this whole team of brilliance and talent and vision. Come see what we did. Unspoken is open this weekend Thurs-Sat 12-8pm at 149 W. 14th St. (btw 6/7) NYC. White Lies #1 A chronological documentation of every false statement made by #45 in 2017 as President. What began as a completely normal American flag has become fully opaque with the ink of each lie. Buried under the weight of his carelessness, his ego, his utter disregard for the truth, our country, and the world this flag bears witness to the disgrace Trump has brought upon all of us. White Lies is nearly complete. Just a few more days (about 150 lies) to go. I’m on layer 14. The flag is stiff and rigid, feels like it wants to crack, crease, permanently imperfect itself. I have to carry it with caution. It has become brittle, and fragile, and opaque. From a short distance one can see there are difference btw the red and white stripes but the red is gone. And the blue canton seems grey if there is to be any tint to it at all. See it at One Year of Resistance at @untitledspaceny opening January 16th in NYC. (at The Untitled Space)

I am bearing witness to every lie #Trump makes in his first year as president. Transferring it to a flag in white ink. It’s getting super opaque, and stiff. And I’m only 1/2 way. 9 layers already. 5.5 lies a day now. I’m estimating it will be over 2,000 false statements by the time Jan 20th rolls around.
