Shuri skins RANKED!!!

Regular Shuriken is. SO wonderful. Maybe you can tell I like him by the fact that. He’s my pfp.

I will say, I was talking with my friend about this the other day, but. If the TIPS of his horns are pink. And the TIPS of Scythe’s horns are black. Do inphernal horns grow at the tips instead of at the roots???? THEY MUST!

I’m a little sad his tattoo got covered up. Okay that’s a lie I’m a lot sad. His arm bandages areeee cool, AND THEY DO SAY A LOT ABOUT. HIM. Similar to Coil’s arm bandages. He’s a criminal. He’s injured a lot. I just feel like the tattoo that he DID HIMSELF (at least I think that was the lore) in solidarity with hid sister says WAY MORE about his character.

Legacy Shuri is a 7/10. COMPARED TO THE OTHER PHIGHTERS LEGACY DESIGNS, HE WAS NEVER REALLY THAT UGLY I THINK!

So like where do I start even. THE FINS ARE SICK. THE FIN MOHAWK IS SICK. EVERYTHING IS SICK. He looks very punk to me????? If I saw a guy who looked like this on the beach I’d simultaneously he jealous and scared

THE FLOATIE ON HIS BACK CONFUSED ME AT FIRST. BUT LOOKING AT HIM. I THINK THERE’S A STORY HERE. He’s CLEARLY a fish, but. He’s wearing shorts and shoes. Maybe he’s trying to convince the other beachgoers that he’s a regular inphernal too and that’s why he looks so silly

There’s also the possibility he’s like Grav. Grav is a normal inphernal. She has a shark tail. BUT SHE’S ALSO TRANSGEAR AND HER ORIGINAL GEAR IS IMPLIED TO BE SHARK RELATED. SO. DOES THAT APPLY TO SHURIFIN I DUNNO

His smile is also very funny. And I think it’s cute he’s matching with Sling and Vine. 8.5/10, he’s on par with regular Shuri for me.

Shuri-Lóng is special and I have a long ramble about him.

So he’s based on Chinese mythology, the Shenlong. I’m not Chinese and have never studied the mythology so if anything I say is inaccurate PLEASE let me know, but according to wikipedia, Shenlong (shén lóng) AKA “divine dragon” or “spirit dragon” is “the spirit dragon from Chinese mythology who is the dragon god of the tempest and also a master of rain. He is of equal significance to other creatures such as Tianlong the celestial dragon, Zhulong the dragon of eruption, Qinglong the azure dragon, and Yinglong the responsive dragon.”

He governs clouds, rain, and storms also!!!! And also there’s a dragon ball character named Shenlong who made my research QUITE difficult here….

So. The question is. How does all of that. Apply to this Shuri skin.

Okay first of all. His outfit is SUPER cute from just. A fashion standpoint. He’s GORGEOUS.

His robe has clouds and his tattoo appears to resemble clouds. And his littleeee. Side tufts. Are reminiscent of paintings of mythological dragons for sure.

I’m definitely not getting. Divine vibes from this guy???? But I DONT KNOW!!!! Also his face is. SO funny and I love him so much.

Anyways. Shenlong is super fucking cool. If any Chinese mythology buffs wanna come add anything oh my god PLEASE do. 9/10 he’s so cute

7/10 I love playing as him but he is objectively a little ugly

So unlike Shuri-Lóng, the wiki doesn’t say what Shurifox is based on. But like. I’M PRETTY SURE IT’S KITSUNES????? I see fox with multiple tails and my brain thinks Kitsune

I will say it’s interesting that we’re keeping with the idea. That Thieves’ Den is inspired by. Asia. In general. Shuri-Lòng was Chinese. Kitsunes are Japanese mythologically. I HOPE WE GET TO SEEEEE MORE MYTHOLOGIES IN THERE THAT WOULD BE QUITE FUN

I really like this skin! He looks very cozy in there. I’D WEAR THOSE PANTS. THOSE PANTS ARE CRAZY FASHIONABLE

I’d say it’s VERY fitting for Shuri to be a Kitsune. I’m pretty sure they’re known for tricking people and causing general mischief. THAT SOUNDS QUITE A BIT LIKE SHURI
