I've been obsessed with this photo ever since I first saw it. Their expressions are EVERYTHING!! It's so soft and full of emotion. I remember when they posted it about 24 hours after the video big (or the bed video, or whatever you wish to call it), I sat on my sofa for a good half hour, in a total daze of being overwhelmed with pride and joy.

So when phil referred to it as 'the cute on one the bed' in the last podcast episode (ep 18) it brought back all of those feelings to see them acknowledge it again. @fryday very very kindly giffed that moment for me here - thank you so much May!!! And I've made a new tag called #the cute one on the bed, which includes lots of phanart of the photo, as well as us all just phannie-ing out.

we are real best friends. companions through life. like...actual soulmates. it's so lucky to just find someone you can be that compatible with.

My toxic trait is sometimes I think about that one YouTuber that had a crush on Dan and who might have thought he had a chance after Dan came out. Only to realize how unbelievably down bad he has been for Phil for 16 years and there never was a chance 😭 him treating Phil like a princess and giving all his attention to him. Many people would love a partner like him

ESPECIALLY now that we all know how much of a loverboy dan actually is. my toxic trait is thinking that if they somehow ended up in relationships with other people instead of each other, they’d still be great partners to their significant others, but it wouldn’t be ANYTHING like THIS. this is some written-in-the-stars, soulmates in every universe stuff they’ve got going on.

rewatching BIG for the zillionth time and i know. i KNOW we go on and on about "real best friends, companions through life, like actual soulmates" (for good reason!!) but we forget about "what me and phil had was ours and personal" and honestly, i think this speaks even louder. their relationship is so sacred they have to keep it to themselves. for so long, the world didn't accept them. it was truly dan and phil vs. the world. and even now that they've been out for 6 years and joke about their sex life in nearly every video, they still cherish what they have so deeply. because it was built on a foundation of acceptance and the joy of finding someone who understood and celebrated every part of them, even (and especially) the parts they hated. i can only hope we're all lucky enough to experience a relationship like this one day.
