Sooo I don’t know what to think about s4 finale. Just some thoughts:

What happened with Marielle is so sad, I actually thought her story would lead to something

I can’t believe Fatima became one of those monsters… I mean… what are the mechanics behind it? How exactly did giving birth to one of them make Fatima one of them? Will she become allergic to daylight like the others or not?

I’m sorry for Elgin… but it’s like he was digging his own grave, so…

Poor Ethan still thinks his mom is dead and he will end like Victor 😭 my heart breaks for him 💔

Does Sofia (man in yellow) have something to do with the earthquake, sun going down and red lightning? I don’t think so… And her nonchalantly taking all the talismans 🥲 she need to be stopped

My girl Sara had like two seconds of screen time😭 but we had 15 minutes of Patty having a tantrum 🫩 I kinda can relate but we need to be serious, we have no time for this

For one solid second I thought Henry would kill Ethan. Victor is the best for stopping him and like in general. I’m serious, the best character in From.

Jade is like the second best. He was willing to die just for Tabitha and her kids to have a chance to leave this place 🥹 also he’s in love, no one can change my mind!

So are boy in white and man in yellow antagonists? I’m not sure I get everything they said right. But them having the bones is important after all? Just like taking the bottle tree out.

All is cool, but we have one more season and almost zero answers. Will we ever have these answers? There are some things I can’t stop thinking about:

Who did the original towns people make the deal with?

What’s the matter with the spiders and the webs? (I’m sure there’s a giant one from the journey of Boyd and Sara, and Jade saw them in his mushrooms trip, and Victor have them in his drawings)

Why did Randall hear cicadas? Or at least used to hear? (Did writers forget about it?)

What are the ballerina and the music box Boyd used to see? Elgin saw it once too

How did the giant dolls come to life?

Who was Martin and how did he get chained in that room?

What’s with Julie’s storywalking? (Did writers forget about it too?) man in yellow asked her from time she was this time… and we them interacting once…

Who is lady in kimono?

Why do fromville look like it’s from the fifties?

Is boy in white one of the sacrificed children?

And is all of it connected?

You guys, am I the only one who wants to get just a glimpse of what Jade and Tabitha’s previous life was like? I mean the original one. And not just theirs but everybody else’s in the town/settlement. I hoped it would happen this season and there’s no time for that now.

For me it seems that some important things are left offscreen (like Jade and Tabitha’s memories in the end of s3, things Fatima saw through kimono lady about sacrifice, etc) and I’m afraid that we’ll never see what happened and will just hear about it from Boyd/Sara/Jade etc

Do you think we’ll get to see what happened to those original people in s5?

We already have one soul getting eaten (killed???) in the basement, does that mean there will be seven more??? Considering Tom most definitely won’t kill his own son to stop whatever is happening in widow’s bay

David Alpay: I think that he's got to play his cards really carefully. I think discovering that they have this really longstanding connection, that they've been together ostensibly for generations and generations and iterations and iterations. I think he not only remembered the fact of it, but I think he also remembered the emotion of it. And going into that first episode in season four, where he sees her for the first time, she's like helping Sophia out of the car, and Jade kind of stumbles into the moment, and he catches her eye. It's the first time he's seen her since the revelation. To me, that was a very heavy emotional moment. I thought, "Okay, he remembers all of it. He remembers every time he's lived. He remembers her every time. He remembers how he loved her every single time, even though she appeared as different people, which carries forward."

David Alpay: And I think part of that love that he felt for her meant backing off a little bit and letting her deal with everything in her own time. And then also just not being too pushy when everything happens to Jim, because I think when you love somebody, you have to give them space to experience what they're experiencing and not be selfish with how you love them. And I think that was beautifully constructed also by the writers as part of Jade's evolution, too. I don't think in the first season Jade would have been that kind of selfless. So yeah, it was a really beautiful moment to get to play, and yeah, I hope that landed with the audience.
