RP Hiatus Notice
I have been swallowed up by Voltron and Macross and Zestiria lately. Sorry, not sorry.
I’m going out this weekend and then need to get ready my convention (I need time to plan what I need to do, flail and stress uselessly, and then buckle down and do it). So I won’t be around much for a while. I’ll probably pop on, but I can’t make any guarantees.
I’ll try to stock the queues on my blogs but I also can’t make guarantees on that. Although I’ve started Saji’s!
I’ve also decided to do NaNoWri Mo this year so don’t expect to see me much during November unless I change my mind. Which is always a possibility. I’m shit at time management so NaNo can get stressful.
Well, we’ll see how everything else goes! Stay safe and be happy~

He had been gathering information on him long before the two had met at that ESF soiree, and with that information he had been able to coax and entice him with his charm and sophistication. It didn’t hurt that he was undeniably adorable, either. “So, if it’s because of the ability of my body to adapt to certain situations or my particular programmed skillset, please feel free to utilize me as you wish.”
Quite the offer, considering Regene was usually far more interested in lazing about or spending his time in the hanger. One had to be thankful for his level of dedication and performance when repairing and modifying the Gundams but sometimes he really did need to get out and get some exercise. He was far too skinny, even more slender than Tieria, though one could mostly attribute that to a certain lack of muscle density. Regene certainly did have the body of a scholar rather than an athlete.
Sumeragi smiled. She was even happier now that Regene was opening up, and even seemed excited about it. “I appreciate your willingness to help,” she said, with faux mildness that he would surely see through. “I hadn’t asked since you didn’t seem inclined.”
This did open up all sorts of new opportunities. And although she was certain Regene had ways of taking care of himself, Lyle was skilled enough at subterfuge to assist and be his muscle, since she was also certain that Lyle would be loath to let Regene off by himself too often. Sumeragi was well aware of how Lyle played them at the beginning, when he still considered himself Katharon. At least, she was now.
“I underestimated you, Regene, and I’m sorry,” she said. His strength of character and his devotion to Celestial Being both. She really needed to have more faith in her team. “You’re a valuable team member, and were even before this. I really can’t thank you enough.”

Neil allowed himself to be led, head hanging low for the lack of energy and shame both. It was rare that he lost himself to drink – being of Irish decent offered a few perks that were useful in that regard – and even rarer that he took out his liquor-fueled aggressions on anyone else. Neil was grateful that it had been Sumeragi to witness him like this. Of everyone on the ship, it was Sumeragi who could relate most to loss and the feelings of guilt surrounding being alive. She had lost someone precious herself, and had yet to truly get over it.
Come morning, he’d be back to the same Lockon Stratos that smiled and laughed, not Neil Dylandy who was embittered and resentful over his shortcomings.
“Thanks, Sumeragi. Sorry about this.”
“We all have these moments,” she said with one of her sad, wistful smiles. “It comes with the territory of being an adult." She had wanted her team to enjoy what life had to offer, and Lockon tried. In front of the others, at least. But he wasn’t like Feldt or Allelujah. He was an adult when he joined the team, the same time as or maybe even before her. He’d already accumulated pain and regret- and the adult stubbornness to cling to it.
He coped better than she did, but even Lockon couldn’t be Lockon all the time. She was just glad he was comfortable enough with her to let his walls down, or he’d bottle it up forever.
They reached his room and she opened the door for him. “Made it!” she said. Her smile was a little wider. “Not bad, when both of us are little too acquainted with Mr. Daniels. So to speak.”

He supposed one could never truly understand the workings of puberty without experiencing it first hand. Puberty had much to do with the development of sex hormones in the body and only people with genitalia produced them in any significant amount. So then it would suffice to say that someone like him, or most other innovades for that matter, would gain no true meaning to any of it. But from a purely scientific point of view, Regene was still interested. Even if he couldn’t understand he still found himself intrigued.
“Maybe that’s why Lyle smells the way he does after physically exerting himself… And why he has hair in copious amounts in places I don’t…” His words came as a self indulgent murmur, yet with his clearly in earshot the woman got a bit more of an education into just how intimate Regene and the younger Dylandy twin had been. Suddenly this little conversation made more sense. But then just as soon as that thoughtful visage had taken the innovade he was back to questioning glances and awkwardly sweet smiles. There was just something unnerving about seeing Tieria’s face with such a cute expression.
“But then, Tieria has grown breasts before in order to more accurately follow the guidelines you established for a mission.” Clever as always, and observant. Tieria hadn’t told him directly but being a firsthand witness to the transformation and being linked almost constantly with his twin in their downtime, it wasn’t difficult to assume Regene knew much more than he let on. “I could, too, if I wanted to. It’s just a matter of redirecting a few functions of our nanites towards fat retention in a more specific location.” Sumeragi was getting a bit of her own lesson in exchange for her kindness, it would appear. Not as expected, but sort of sweet nevertheless. Regene was trying to be social. That was always a plus. Better productive than destructive.
'Better productive than destructive' indeed, although Sumeragi has her own generous fat retention in a specific area, and that phrasing made her wonder if she should be insulted. But she was wise enough to know he wasn't being deliberately nasty, because that’s what it was biologically, and she shoved the stab of irritation away. Regene was just blunt, was all.
"It seemed necessary to hide his true form with one that would distract onlookers. Hiding in plain sight, as it were." She laughed a little. “Although I had been planning on falsies, and not growing a real pair!” The insight on how her unusual crew members functioned was new, though. Tieria had always been more guarded in personality and she respected his space as she did with the rest of her crew. He shared more with her than most of the others by necessity, since she was their tactician, but he didn’t often volunteer more intimate details.
“You two have a great advantage when it comes to disguises,” Sumeragi mused. “I wonder if there’s a way for you to utilize it more. Spying would be the obvious route, but neither of you seem inclined.”
