Umbrellas of Cherbourg ~ Director Jacques Demy was a French director and screenwriter. He appeared in the wake of the French New Wave alongside contemporaries like Jean-Luc Godard and François Truffaut.

The colors of this film are bright and bold. I have yet to see another movie as colorful as this one.
