After a demonolition team destroys Everjoy Park, the monsters that live there escape. As disappearances and unsolved murders become an everyday thing, it's up to Sam, Jenny, and a cast of new characters to find a way to make things right.

Like many of the 80's horror villians, the monsters used to be human.
Evidence:
Several of the monsters have human names, such as Nelly, Dennis, and Drew. They likely remember from their past lives, since if they were born monsters, they would likely have different cultures and thus have unreal names.
Another bit of evidence is about the two times the amusement park shut down. One was when it was burnt down, and the other was for an unknown reason. Since the park doesn't seem very damaged, it's likely that the fire was the first incident. It's possible that the monsters were people who died in that fire and came back as what they are today. Perhaps the reason the park was shut down AGAIN is because is because the monsters have been living in the amusement park while it was open and killing people. An amusement park with constant deaths isn't going to stay open for long.
The story Gingerclown tells Sam also reflects this. A group goes somewhere to have fun, only to be forced into a situation where they have to eat another living being to survive.
