I may be the unpopular opinion person here, but from my POV, they had exactly the chemistry they were supposed to have. We (and by we I mean both the audience and the characters) all saw he's full of shit, except Tissaia. The perfect, manipulative chemistry. Hollywood pair of dreams outside, rotten to the core inside.

Also, I know Yennaia is obviously ship of the series for ppl here, but not everything is about her in Tissaia's life. Even though the scenarists wrote her as if there wasn't any other girl than Yennefer for the archmistress. ("I will not continue to put my girls at risk" my ass, Tissaia, you could at least act like you give a shit about said girls.)
