#yes my job has a very lax attendance policy #and yes you shouldn’t have to check email and shit before you’re at work #but if you’re planning on being late as Fuck I need you to glance at your email to see if another coworker #sent an emergency email at like 6am asking for you to be in at 10 to help with a researcher #so you don’t leave the two other bitches who showed up for work high and dry and they’re fighting for their lives #trying to find something in the archives #also annoyed at my other coworker because this is a situation where an after hours text message would’ve been acceptable

Like. Yes the policy where literally anyone can be appointed to fill a vacant government seat when the representative dies in office (including completely unqualified family members) is fucking crazy but I guess I’m the only bitch out here who watched the west wing and remember the singular episode in s1 where this feature of government is a b plot storyline so I was not at all shocked when Lindsey grahams sister got appointed to fill his seat 🧍‍♀️
