🌊PSA: Shuffle your feet 👣 to avoid getting stung by stingrays! . After hearing about the 30+ people who were stung by stingrays in San Diego, I wanted to make a quick PSA. . I also got stung 2 years ago and learned a painful lesson! Just know that stingrays will flee the scene when they sense the vibrations from you shuffling your feet in the sand. . In case you get stung, find the nearest lifeguard station and dunk your injured foot in hot water for the venom to leave your body. Waves of Baja Norte 🌊 . Inspired by my recent trip to Mexico. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean was very relaxing. ✏️ Time to kick my illustration game up a notch! . Back in March, I enjoyed creating a mini series for International Women’s Day to celebrate women of the sea. I'm excited to expand on this series as well as develop new passion projects with Lauren Hom’s @homsweethom Passion Project course + mentorship. . I can’t wait to connect with a community of fellow creatives and see what doors will open from taking her course, which will help me work towards a sustainable illustration career. With close access to the ocean, I've adopted a routine for my weekly beach outings to pick up trash as I walk my dogs up and down the shore. For the most part, I pick up plastic bottles, bottle caps, and chip bags that people forget to throw away.
