I have experienced some stressful ups and downs these last few months (and I can only guess that there will be more to come), but from them, I’ve learned something very important. Regardless of what is happening around you, being content with who you are, and what your purpose is, is the key to material and emotional success. The Tower made its way into my reading last month, and it truly dawned on me. Having a solid foundation, a secure base, makes for sturdy structures. Without one, you can build and build, but everything superficial will always come crashing down.
Of course I still struggle with being comfortable with who I am at times, but I’m really excited feeling myself grow. Every day gets a little easier, a new leaf every sunrise :)
someday when you’re at peace, you’ll be so glad you didn’t give up

September will be filled with happiness.
September will be filled with blessings.
September will be filled with positivity.
September will be filled with progress.
September will be filled with kindness.
September will be filled with love.
September will be filled with opportunities.
September will be a good month.
Please, if you're feeling any of these - check in with a trusted friend or a doctor if you're able. Your life matters
i know so many of us have been trained since a young age to be so accommodating as to fear ever expressing an opinion, but as we get older we need to understand that being “accommodating” to the point of total indecisiveness is a very uncomfortable way to go through life, for you AND those around you. it’s ok to have an opinion on something. it’s ok to make a decision. your friends won’t hate you if you’re the one to end the “where do you want to eat” “oh anywhere is fine with me” discussion by suggesting a restaurant. you’re not high maintenance if you say, “noon is more convenient for me” when someone asks you what time you want to hang out. make decisions, have opinions, be part of the planning process, understand that you’re not being inconvenient, you’re just contributing.
adhd tip #8
in people with ADHD, feelings of sadness or depression are often caused by understimulation.
so feed your starved brain. do something. listen to music. chew gum. fold clothes. turn on the TV. do 10 jumping jacks. then get yourself into an activity that engages you (like a hyperfixation! an interest!) and your needy prefrontal cortex will have the fuel it needs to run.
“A lover doesn’t discourage your growth. A lover says, ‘I see who you are today, I cannot wait to see who you become tomorrow.’”

“Breathe. You’re going to be okay. Breathe and remember that you’ve been in this place before. You’ve been this uncomfortable and anxious and scared, and you’ve survived. Breathe and know that you can survive this too. These feelings can’t break you. They’re painful and debilitating, but you can sit with them and eventually, they will pass. Maybe not immediately, but sometime soon, they are going to fade and when they do, you’ll look back at this moment and laugh for having doubted your resilience. I know it feels unbearable right now, but keep breathing, again and again. This will pass. I promise it will pass.”
— Daniell Koepke
you know what? sometimes you are wrong. sometimes you are the toxic one. sometimes you are the bad guy in a story. but that does not make you a bad person. we all at many points in our life, no matter how healthy and good we are, have moments where we are wrong. don’t beat yourself up for this. reflect on the situation, identify what you did wrong and how you can avoiding making the same mistake, and move on. you’re human. you make mistakes. all you can do is learn and move on.
