âWe need to catch this son of a bitch,â Morgan seethed, âWeâre so close.â This case had been especially tolling, it had been over a week since the B.A.U. agreed to take over and the unsub had slipped through the teamsâ fingers more times than they could count. At this point, 6 young women had been brutally murdered by a delusional, stab-happy lowlife.
âWe just need something to draw him out,â You spoke, âLike bait.â The team turn their heads toward you, interests piqued.
âY/n does fit the unsubâs âtype.ââ Reid pointed out, âMaybe if we use her we could finally catch him â âÂ
âAbsolutely not.â Looking up from the table you saw Hotch, brows furrowed in that well-known âIâm angryâ face. âI will not put Y/n in harmâs way just to close a case!â
âBut if we donât, more innocent women will lose their lives to this asshole! Câmon Hotch please, just let me do this. Iâm a big girl, I can handle myself,â You looked at him, pleading with your eyes. He hated when you did that, made him feel dizzy. He just wanted to protect you, and maybe even more than that if youâd let him â
âHotch?âÂ
As if being broken out of a trance, he shook his head and sighed. âFine, but we do it on my terms or not at all. Do you all understand?â Everyone nods, a few mumbling âyes sirâ as they left the room, heading for the car.
__________Â
âAlright, youâre going to leave the bar from the rear and wait in the alley until the unsub approaches. Reid and I will be in the van across the street, Hotch and Morgan will be standing by the entrance watching for anybody who fits the profile. Remember, youâre wired so weâll be with you the whole time, okay?â Emily had her hands on your shoulders, attempting to provide a sense of calm for you.
âThanks, Em. I got it, letâs catch this bastard.â You said, a grin playing at your features. Out of the corner of your eyes, you could see Hotch staring at you and for a split second, you couldâve sworn you saw his face soften into a look of concern. However, that mustâve been your hopeful imagination playing tricks on you because when you turned to face him, he was grimacing as usual. You wondered what youâd have to do to be the one that makes him smile someday.Â
A stern voice interrupted your inconvenient daydreaming. âY/n, are you even listening to me? Itâs imperative that you pay attention.â Looking up you saw none other than Aaron Hotchner, his soft brown eyes burning into your own. God, did you love those eyes â
âWhat? Y-yes sir, Iâm listening.â You stuttered, the intensity of his gaze throwing you off.Â
âI need you to stick to the plan exactly. Donât do anything I donât tell you to do, okay?â You nodded. âGood. Now please be careful out there, Y/n.â This whole situation was visibly bothering him, so you grabbed his hand as reassurance.
âIâll be okay, Hotch, I promise. And even if Iâm not, youâll be there to save me, right?â You asked, playfully batting your lashes at him
He almost smiled, heat rising in his cheeks, âOf course I will.âÂ
__________
The warm air hit your face as you left the bar, going straight into the dark alleyway. You stumbled along, playing the part of a helpless drunk girl in hopes that the unsub would bite. A shadow figure approached you from behind.Â
âYou lookinâ for a good time, sugar?â The man breathed on your neck, sending shivers down your spine.Â
âNo thanks, back off creep.â You turned, starting for the main street.
âDo NOT speak to me that way, you stupid slut!â He all but screamed at you, grabbing you by the arm. You gasped as you felt a sharp pain in your lower abdomen. Glancing down, you saw the knife he had been concealing now lodged in your stomach.Â
âY/n!âÂ
You saw Morgan run after the unsub as you sank to the ground, only to be caught by a pair of strong arms.Â
âYou promised me youâd be okay.â Hotch spoke to you, his voice trembling slightly.Â
You smiled, revealing your blood-stained teeth, âI am okay now that youâre here.â
âNow is not the time for that, Y/n.â Your eyes began to shut â âHey! Keep looking at me, okay? Stay awake for me.â The pain you were feeling was indescribable, all you wanted was to sleep.Â
âIt hurts, Hotch.â You whimpered, and his eyes welled up with tears.
âI know, Y/n. I know it does, but youâre going to be alright. You have to be, I canât lose you too.â His words made your heart flutter, he really did care about you.Â
âHotch?â He hummed in response. âI think I love you,â you said, your eyes finally forcing themselves shut. He sat, rocking your body back and forth as the sirens rapidly approached.
__________
You woke to the sound of beeping monitors, harsh florescent lighting, and the Golden Girls playing on the mounted television.Â
âYouâre awake,â you heard from beside you. You turned to see a very exhausted Aaron Hotchner, hand grasping for yours. âPlease donât ever scare me like that again, youâve been in a coma for three days. I thought I lost you.â He put his head down, feeling defeated.
You sighed, âIâm sorry, Iâll be more careful next time.â Hotch noticed you tightened your grip on his hand, âYou canât get rid of me that easy, Iâm too strong.âÂ
âThis,â you gestured toward your freshly stitched wound, âbarely even a scratch.â
Hotch scoffed at you, a grin splitting his previously rigid expression for only a bit, before the look of seriousness returned. âY/n..â he paused, âdo you remember the last thing you said to me before you passed out?â After a few moments of thinking, your eyes widened. Had you really said that out loud? You thought that was a dream. Oh God, what if he doesnât feel the same? What if he doesnât feel comfortable being around you anymore?
Your crisis was cut short when he said, âI feel the same way. Iâm sorry it took you almost dying for me to admit that.â
â Wait, huh?Â
âYou what?â You asked, your stomach whirring with excitement. You sat up quickly, sending of small jolts of pain through your body.Â
Hotch lent over, his face hovering in front of yours. His breath fanned over your cheeks as he spoke, âIs this okay?â You nodded slowly, your heart pounding in your chest. You had waited so long for this.
His lips brushed gently against yours, careful not to hurt you. You felt yourself melt into his touch as your mouths moved in sync, slow and sweet. Parting, you both smiled. âI love you, Y/n.â He pecked your lips once more.Â
âI love you, too.âÂ
Maybe you should get stabbed more often.
He says he likes your courage. You remind him of a fat Rambo.

what is it about a retail uniform that makes boomers lose all empathy or critical thinking
i was grabbing something to eat at whole foods and one woman started shouting âexcuse me?! excuse me?!â and I ignored her cause I donât know her. She then came up to me and grabbed my arm and went âI was calling you! Can you help me find something?â and I was likeâŠ.I donât work here? And she rolled her eyes and went âWell can you find me someone who DOES?â and when I said âNo, sorryâ she got all huffy. likeâŠ..bitch I donât work here and Iâm not on the clock. I need to eat.
Once when I was in Target with my mom this woman tapped me on the shoulder and goes âdo you work here? where can I find the baby section?â. The target dress code is a red shirt, khakis, non-slip shoes, and a name-tag. My mom and I were wearing none of these; I didnât even own a red shirt at the time.
I just said, âwe donât work here??â She got mad and was like âAre you sure?â so I went âAre you stupid..?â and carried on shopping
Iâd like to think its less the uniform and more the fact that baby boomers simply just lack empathy and critical thinking as a whole like that wasnât the first time an older person has asked me for help assuming I work there when Iâm wearing nothing close to the uniform and am minding my own business shopping and it certainly hasnât and wonât be the last
this happened to me in best buy. nothing i was wearing resembled their uniforms, and i was very clearly shopping, testing out different laptops and shit.
this lady came up to me and asked what tvâs were the best (which like, you couldnât ask someone in that department in the first place ? i was on the other side of the store ?), to which i explained that i donât work at best buy. she got really pissy and kept demanding i help her and i was like i ? donât ? work ? here ? i ? donât ? know ?
she threatened to get âmyâ manager to which i had no response because again, i donât work there. theyâre not my managers. i just kinda said âokayâŠ?â, and she really went and found a manager and brought him over to where i was just tryna find a laptop.
she starts telling him what happened, and he was like âma'am,,, this kid doesnât work here. heâs not one of our employees.â
she claimed that i should have helped her anyways, and that sheâd be giving their store âa very bad reviewâ
like what the fuck was that shit
OK but if you donât think that our generation is gonna be doing exactly the same thing once certain people hit 40, you havenât been paying attention, we already went from âletâs be compassionate to the kids growing upâ to âthe next kid who mentions Fortnite in front of me gets punchedâ. Itâs not just boomers itâs people who are old enough to feel entitled to special treatment.
Someone finally said it
For real, letâs not be those people please.
hereâs some ripe for the pluckinâ memes
