I can just imagine Wade leaving a gun at the bar, by accident or just not caring, to go talk to Weasel in his office, and Peter using it to defend himself against a rowdy merc that got a hit on him? Or just was trying to cause problems, and everyone is just shocked that the civie bartender whipped out Deadpool's signature gun , that they all knew from either experience, or the horror stories people tell about him...
I usually keep Peter/Spidey away from guns, but this particular version of Peter wouldn't have such a hatred of them, given that his Ben didn't die via gun violence.
And while I think he would be sort of baseline chill, he also doesn't tend to favour them (boy loves the physical part of the violence, and he just generally doesn't need a gun what with his darts, webs, and poison).
I think honestly the most telling sort of scene, for everyone else if not those two particular idiots, is something going down at the bar, and Wade handing Peter one of the Desert Eagles.
Like someone coming in that is not a Usual Suspect-- either a supervillain come down to Sister Margaret's to make a deal, or someone like Castle coming in and not caring about casualties, and Wade just passing over his gun to Peter like, "They get close to you, shoot them."
In the moment, it's just the most logical thing to protect Peter/ for Peter to take it. But everyone else being like...wait wtf.
and then it STILL takes them three more weeks to touch dicks, smh.
