It’s insane to know that my parents had planned for me to go to UAE and study medicine after i got my high school diploma but during my last year of HS an entire revolution happened because the Islamic Republic killed a woman for hijab and my parents couldn’t go through with their plans:)

I love how there’s literally not a religion on this earth that doesn’t ban women in some way, shape, or form from participating in basic rites or accessing holy ground just because they’re women.

“Women in this country are beaten and/or killed for showing any part of their bodies because of the religious laws in place”

Okay WEREEEEE that was a good first day!!! We observed the cases the interns had during the day and I HAD THE PLEASURE OF WORKING WITH TWO CASES WITHOUT ANY ASSISTANCE!!!!!!!

One was an ASD level 3 case who had no eye contact and was nonverbal and we managed to get the word banana in farsi out of him!! We also worked on his memory and worked with cards and he managed to do so good!!

Another was an MR & ASD level 1 and we also worked on her memory and her cognition level was better than the other ASD case and we managed to teach her how to draw a circle!! We even made enough progress to teach her a triangle!!!

Anyway amazing experience 10/10

Tomorrow’s my first hospital observation before i am officially a 5th semester student and will start my clinical rotation after these 8 sessions omg i’m gonna vomit from anxiety i will be having cases i will be responsible for a human being’s rehabilitation journey THATS A LOT

See the thing is that when i try to talk to my friend about my feelings (which i KNOW they’ll be gone in less than a month or so) they completely shut it down. I get it they don’t like her (i mean i didn’t either until i had a wet dream about her but i always found her hot ANYWAY-)the point is that i need to talk about her a lot to be able to move on and if i bottle it up then it’ll become an obsession which is so unhealthy and I told her last night that i neeeeeeded to talk about her and she said???
