Lyrics - Obama’s Nation’s Abominations - Girl No. III
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-whZB5df8nw&t=2s (Lyric Video)
Dependence
Compliance
Submission
Subjugation
This is, and always has been their objective
And your contentment in simplicity, dichotomies and outsourcing of your thought plays right into their hands
Don’t you see
At every turn you are encouraged to disengage your brain
And keep you consuming and squabbling amongst each other
Unquestionably accepting their narrative
One, two, three, four, one, two, three, four
Even the music keeps you in lock-step
Subtly programming you to fit into their square, rigid, four/four, four-chord box
Why rhythmically count music using fractions
It’s takes much less thought to group measures in sections using ratios of one
And that’s just where they begin
For as soon as they start lull you into a trance of mental lethargy, you truly become susceptible to a full dogmatic, sciolistic slumber
Next, you must make the distinction between your ideal reality and the actual reality
For these present very different conditions and navigation strategies
Just because it would be nice if things were a certain way, or believing something makes you feel good, that does not make that thing true
And it would be nice if all things were distinctly categorize-able, and we could neatly draw distinct lines for their one or two-way interactions
But true dichotomies are exceedingly, rare if existent at all, and are really only useful for defining the general guidelines of a spectrum
Oh, and everything exists along a spectrum, get used to it
But not necessarily a binary spectrum; there exists trichotomies, quadrichotomies, and so on
Habituate yourself in the world of multi-variate analysis - it is more complex, and requires more work for comprehend the full picture – but that doesn’t mean it is not worth pursuing
For true understanding, and ultimately freedom is at stake here
Nuance, nuance, nuance
This your new drug
Inject it constantly
In a perfect world, for the things we don’t know or understand we could rely solely on the word of scientists and institutions headed by experts for our information and choices
But our world is driven by ego, capitalism and short-term-gains
And the motives behind investigating, presenting and hiding information have been greatly tainted
Meaning they no longer inherently deserve your trust
And remember, social contract is only valid when both sides are keeping up their end
And monitoring, and holding both sides accountable is key to maintaining the level of knowledge, freedom and progress we should be striving for
The FDA, or Food and Drug Administration is a great example
Created by the U.S. Government, this institution headed by independent industry experts, was created to have scientists using science to protect the general population from unsafe food and drugs
But investigators like David Graham & Marcia Angell have found direct financial ties between the experts and the drug that they are quote unquote independently investigating
But other institutions are deserving of trust, right
Not like institutions like the CDC have a past filled with corruption and incompetence, right
Well, the CDC’s dishonest appropriation of funds from nineteen-ninety-three to two-thousand, and then again in two-thousand-one
The denial of the efficacy of masks in March twenty-twenty, and then, the implementation of an understudied update to the disease reaction guidelines
Causing a sixteen-point-seven-times fatality increase, when compared to not having instituted it at all
The ties discovered between Coca-Cola and the CDC, with released emails showing that at least Barbara Bowman & Michael Pratt from the CDC’s Heart Disease and Stroke division had direct communications with and funds from Coca-Cola
The CDC’s changing of definitions and misrepresentation of data to congress and the public for their WISEWOMAN project, to make it seem more effective than it actually was
The four-times increased chance in developing Guillain-Barré syndrome caused by the hastily studied and under-developed nineteen-seventy-six Swine Flu Vaccine
And then on the FDA’s side, when concerns were correctly raised by staff, they were fired for insubordination
And then there’s the FDA’s approval of AZT in response to the HIV epidemic based on horribly flawed studies
And then failure to recognize and pull the drug, despite concerns and flaws pointed out by internal employees and reporters for several years
The EPA, The FCC, the list goes on, and even on the smaller scale
I’d encourage you to look into the List of Scientific Misconduct Incidents just on Wikipedia as a starting point
And remember, one study is only as good as it’s initial parameters
How the variables were selected and controlled, and then how the data is recorded, analyzed and presented
And even then, the generalizability to the population and environment outside of the testing setting is rarely a given
Especially when studying cells, groups of cells, people and groups of people
For here again, we run into the problem of coming to understanding through the use of dichotomous variables
But also, often a misrepresentation of how the variable fits into the system, let alone all the affects among all of the intermingling feedback loop
Over the short as well as the long-term, along all of the emergent layers permeating reality
But even given the case where all scientists and scientific institutions have the most pure of motives, they can still fall prey to a number of logical fallacies and cognitive biases
Which on that note, you should familiarize yourself with as many of those as you can
Most notably, be wary of
Confirmation bias, pro-innovation bias, common source bias, anchoring bias, systematic bias, framing affects, illusory truth effects, ambiguity effects
Dread aversion, hyperbolic discounting, clustering illusions, Semmelweis reflex, appeals to authority and continued influence effect
Despite best intentions, the best of us can be susceptible to any of these, and we must constantly strive to avoid any logical fallacies or cognitive biases
If we would like to make the most effective, impactful choices we can, that is
Not to say a scientist’s word is inherently invalid, but it is neither inherently valid, and deserves scrutiny and verification just as much as anybody else’s word
Which you are very capable of doing, despite what they have been trying to have you believe
As a side note, be aware of the Dunning-Kruger effect, but know it is not a rule-of-thumb, especially if you take steps to avoid its pitfalls
But let’s zoom in and out of these emergent layers that we are talking about here, for this phenomena of system interaction tends to manifest on every level we have observed
The furthest layer we can probe, zooming down to the most fundamental structures underlying reality, we see what seems to be mathematical objects, or at least so far as we can tell
This is the realm of the theoretical mostly as it’s on the horizon of our knowledge
These mathematical, or theoretical objects, such as the descriptions coming from string theory, or with my money being on the amplituhedron model, will give rise to the next emergent layer of reality
The quantum physical layer, one we can more concretely talk about, as our understanding and evidence is more firm
If our understanding of quantum physics was incorrect, lasers wouldn’t works – so CD players and computers wouldn’t work
The predictions from quantum physics are comparatively as precise as predicting the width of North America to within the accuracy of the width of a human hair
And there’s more evidence for quantum physics than there is for evolution, and more for evolution than gravity
And I think we can agree that gravity exists and that our understanding of it is fairly well-established
So we can agree that from at least the quantum layer and up, we are on firm footing descriptively
From the patterns arising in quantum physics, then emerges the elementary particles: quarks, bosons
The natural patterns emerging from the elementary particle physics layer will give rise to the sub-atomic particles: protons, neutrons
And from the patterns arising in sub-atomic interactions, emerges atoms and atomic physics
From the patterns in the atomic layer then emerge molecules and molecular physics
When enough atoms amass in a molecule giving it a higher order of complexity, where the electro-magnetic interactions become the predominant guiding force
The next layer we see biological physics emerging, biochemistry or macromolecules, where physiology takes place, cells emerge, and then multi-cellular organisms emerge, or plants and animals
And here is the scale we find ourselves operating on – and therefore, the most easy for us to understand
Where the next emergent layer that we are defining is the level where Newtonian physics emerges as the predominant model for describing reality
And we see the ratio of the strength of the electromagnetic force to gravity inverse
As we get further down the line of emergent patterns, we find that the forces guiding the lower layers will still impact the ones above, and vice-versa
Which is exactly what you would expect to see if everything truly is one entangled, inter-relating series of reactions along various emergent layers
Lastly, once we scale above our layer, we see astrophysics and Einsteinian physics being the more reliable descriptions moving higher in time and space scales
And then we find ourselves back in the realm of the theoretical, and again looking at a mathematical object being the fundamental description of both the very large and very small; although we very well could just looking at the same coin from its different sides
To understand what has happened here – once you group several simple things together, there emerges complexity and interactions that amass causing effects on the scale above
Alongside this, as we scale though the different emergent layers, we find the fundamental forces having differing levels of impact along each one
Gravity, the strong and weak nuclear forces and the electromagnetic force all have differing levels of effects along the different layers
This is largely why we seem to draw these distinctions between the layers of atomic physics, Newtonian physics, astrophysics and so on
And none of this is outside of your grasp – remember, you don’t need to necessarily understand every nuance of every mathematical detail to at least grasp the overall concept
As at least this will undoubtedly get you much farther than no understanding, especially if you constantly work at improving and refining your understanding
And all you need as a bare minimum is the basics of the language of mathematics, most notably a rough understanding of linear algebra, which is ultimately just the grammar of physics
And your understanding of what and where you are, and your ability to describe and influence your reality will drastically improve in a meaningful, dependable way
Think of all the people speaking broken English and doing just fine
Now, since math is just the language and grammar of describing reality
Don’t you think you could at least rudimentarily get by speaking quote unquote broken math
From math arises physics, from physics arises chemistry, from chemistry arises physiology or biology or macromolecules
But let’s zoom in on this story, for here is where things get both interesting and crucial
Each atom has a different affinity (or ability) to attract or bond to one another, sharing or transferring electrons
On the individual level, these interactions are pretty easy to understand
But once we have numerous molecules and, or numerous atoms composing both large molecules and large numbers of molecules
We can see the next layer of complexity setting in
As atoms naturally bond, unbond and transfer electrons based on the surrounding atoms, naturally morphing among each other, dictated by the heat and pressure present in the system
These natural inclinations of the atoms and molecules under the varying conditions, will allow for some molecules to form more easily than others
Depending on which atoms are present in the system, how much pressure is present in the system, and how much energy
So now we’ll focus in on three biological molecules worth noting, all of which form naturally, and form polymers, which are just a repeated chain of the same molecule
The three molecules being: Phospholipids, Nucleic Acids and Amino Acids
Phospholipids form naturally, and makes up the main substance that make up our cells’ membranes
As you may know, oil and water don’t mix
And this is true for water and any lipid, due to their polarity, or electro-magnetic charge caused by its molecular structures
Phospholipids have the interesting property of one end having an affinity to water, while its the other end will be repelled by water
So when a group of phospholipids finds itself in water, it naturally coalesces into a two-layered bubble
With the ends repelled by water oriented toward one another, and the end attracted to the water, pointed either toward the inside or outside environments
Effectively forming a membrane where the two environments can be kept separate
Nucleic Acids, RNA, or DNA as we’re mostly concerned with, also form naturally
They don’t inherently store information just by virtue of existing
But they are stable molecules that form polymers, which means they naturally align with one another
But the four different types of nucleic acids will form together into a polymer, which allows for the information to emerge
Having four bases of RNA is simple on its face, and you can’t do much interesting with that pattern-wise
But having a vast number of those four bases allows for complexity, or quote unquote information, on a next emergent layer of patterns
Computers only use a two base language, using one and zero, and allow for information storage just fine – now imagine the complexity available using four bases
Amino Acids, again, form naturally, but here there is a wider variety, with over twenty major amino acids
They have one region that is constant, while the other region has a lot of variation, allowing for differing positive, negative or neutral electro-magnetic charges
Which combined with the amount of space and weight each amino acid takes up, gives each protein a unique shape, attraction abilities and functions
Here, again, we’ll see polymers forming, and with simplicity on the small scale leading to complexity on the larger scale
With the variable regions leading to cumulative effects in how the protein is ultimate shaped and charged
This allows it to interact with other proteins and molecules or atoms according to each of their own shape and charge
And as soon as a new amino acid, or even an atom, interacts with the protein, the entire protein will naturally change its shape in turn
So, all we need in order to get the first primitive, functioning cell is a protein that happens to form
Where one of its ends attaches to a segment of an RNA polymer, and the other end attach an amino acid
Most of the time this will result in junk or useless proteins
But it will facilitate the creation of proteins that are more complex, or that nature would not have strung together without this process interceding, or at least not repeatably, anyways
However, in the instance where the synthesis of a non-useless protein occurs, where the protein that forms happens to do the same job as the initial protein that synthesized it
And now we will have an environment saturated with proteins that can attach to a segment of RNA and create corresponding proteins
Some of these RNA strands will mutate over time, or will form or copy imperfectly, potentially allowing for proteins that have one end that attaches to the RNA
While its other end attaching to an RNA instead of an amino acid
Now the environment will be saturated with proteins that make other proteins from the RNA strands, as well as proteins that make copies of those RNA strands from the initial RNA
Finally, all we need is a phospholipid bubble to come along and encapsulate this reaction, and we have a primitive cell performing basic metabolism
And we are the result of this reaction, after billions of years of adding complexity to this process, and fine-tuning the efficiency of the chemical reactions
The most successful RNA strands replicated, mutated and survived
And this process is still on-going, with mutation being the key to survival
As the environment on earth constantly changes, as well as the other organisms
Therefore an individual using the exact same proteins and survival strategies that worked even as little as one hundred years ago would likely not be successful today
But a population who produces lots of offspring with lots of mutations will most easily adapt to new environmental changes
And this is why we have death
For without death we would not be here
The ability to mutate and adapt is most efficiently done by the mechanisms of reproduction
Since any acquired mutations over the course of a multi-cellular organisms life only occur the one cell in which they happen
The mutations that occur in the sperm or egg cell affect every cell in the organisms that will grow from it
So the individuals who no longer have the best suited proteins or reflexes for an environment will die
While the individuals who have a random mutation that would have been a disadvantage previously
Are now the right fit now that the underlying puzzle itself has changed its shape
Some proteins will form that function to put atoms or molecules together
Others to take molecules apart, overall, creating an interactive feedback loop within the internal environment
The cells that so happen to make the best proteins at a rate that allows the proteins to function best metabolically, while not making too many or using too much energy
Will happen to survive and pass on copies of the RNA and genes to the future cells with slight mutations
Now that the cell is established, we can move to the next emergent layer, where we will look at groups of cells, in two instances
The first being most obvious, the group strategy is often better than acting alone
Imagining two groups of single celled organisms competing to exist in the same space, if one group acts cooperatively, and the other only act for and in response to themselves, even competing against their own kind, it is obvious which force will win
The next instance, when scaling up to more than two different groups, or to several or hundreds of groups of organisms intermingling, some organisms, or groups of organisms, which are completely different could cooperate well together
One of the most prominent instances of this that gave us an advantage is when an ancestor of our cell and a mitochondria happened to coexist in a way that benefited each other
And they passed this strategy on to both of their offspring
Whether the mitochondria initially was happenstantially undigested prey, or a parasite of some sort, the mitochondria ended up inside our cell, where protection was provided in exchange for the excess energy that the mitochondria made
Now we have the first instance of a paid body guard and security detail
These more complex cells will form groups of cells, until the group of cells becomes complex enough - allowing for the next emergent layer; the multi-cellular organism, or plants and animals, the lifeforms we would be most familiar with, with the defining features being cells adhering to each other, and working in unison, forming a new, more complex agent
And don’t forget, the mitochondria isn’t the only other organism our cells collaborate with – in and on our body, the bacteria greatly outnumber the human cells, and they serve just as crucial a function for our survival, as we do for them
Just like the mitochondria, we provide them a safe environment, and in exchange, they make energy more readily available to us
But that isn’t all that they do – remember, the human body is a fully interactive system that is the result of every individual agent within, and is itself an environment than can be manipulated not dissimilar to how we humans manipulate our environment
A lot of the changes in mood and cravings for food we experience are caused by the bacteria releasing chemicals toward your brain in response to foods you ate, or when they start to run out of nutrients they need
But it doesn’t stop there, there is a pathway where if a mother is more or less stressed she releases an oligosaccharide in her breast milk that when the bacteria digest it, they release chemicals that make the baby more exploratory and risk taking if the mother is not stressed, and less so if she is stressed
Your intentions don’t just lie within your mind, or even what you would consider your body, for that matter
So where does consciousness fit in here
Just keep following the emergent layers
Mathematical objects, quantum physics, elementary particle physics, subatomic particle physics, atomic physics, molecular physics, bio-physics, Newtonian physics, astrophysics, Einsteinian Physics, and back to mathematical objects
But let’s zoom back in amidst the biophysical layer, for we seem to be able to point to a second emergent layer of patterns branching off, which we have deemed the metaphysical layer
A realm where mathematical or physical description doesn’t quite seem to fit, and its existence is seemingly virtual
But how does something purely qualitative come to be if the universe is purely mathematical and physical at its core
We’ll directly get into that later, but for now let’s go back to the aforementioned first cell that happened to form, and let’s for the sake of argument just grant that it already has developed an RNA strand and corresponding proteins that allow for basic metabolism in its environment
Some proteins will exists solely within the cell, while others will attach to the cell’s phospholipid membrane and interact with both the internal and external environments
The proteins inside the cell will largely function to sort the atoms and molecules and process them and energy, while the membrane proteins will help to maintain the optimal chemical balance within the cell, allowing for certain substances to enter or exit the cell, at first anyways
Once the cell has formed proteins and RNA that interact in a sustained feedback loop, the cell will be able to afford to create membrane proteins that don’t directly function in maintaining its internal metabolism
But do things like cause adhesion between cells, or act like a propeller, allowing for movement, crossing from effects in the molecular layer to effects in the Newtonian layer
Which as an aside, the flagella has a very interesting evolutionary history I would recommend looking into
But this isn’t all we see emerging, once the feedback loops happen to tune together well enough, what we see is a cell that when something changes in its environment
The internal processes change in turn, having an effect down-stream through its series of feedback loops, allowing for the cell to maintain its internal metabolism
Or more plainly, it has developed a reflex on the molecular level
Its environment changes, which causes a change in its internal feedback loops – and the cells with the proteins and RNA that can maintain this internal feedback loop change will pass on that reaction to that change
Hopefully the outline is becoming more obvious now
But what has just been described is perception and reaction and their most basic level
And hopefully, you will have noticed the pattern of reality; as soon as you group enough simple things together and add slight variation, a new layer of phenomena tends to emerge
And just like structure like the flagella have effects starting at the molecular level and causing effects at the Newtonian level – once we get enough molecular reflexes, and we scale up – a new layer of patterns begins to emerge
Bacteria, cells, plants – all are conscious
Period
You take a crude ability to sense the environment and a crude ability to respond to it, add layers of complexity and you will have something you can’t call anything other than consciousness or intelligence, if only rudimentary
But we can scale down this ability even further – atoms themselves seem to be able to detect and respond to their environment
Once you add enough atoms together, this effect will compound, giving you a molecule with higher “detection/reaction” abilities
Then the macro-molecules or proteins would exhibit functioning on a higher order of complexity
Next, the cells would have even more complexity in their detection/reaction abilities
Next, the cortices of the brain and organs interact with one another giving yet a higher order of magnitude to the detection-reaction interaction
Until we scale to our layer, where we have the full, richly developed metaphysical space we seem to occupy, where we find ourselves existing and perceiving
But don’t kid yourself in thinking you are the only or final level of consciousness – reality is fractal - there are levels above and below, and you can only be directly aware of that which you inhabit
But that doesn’t mean we cannot investigate the other realms and gain insight, at least indirectly
Studies investigating the relationship between the left and right brain show that they each have distinct personalities and senses of self, and they are unaware of one another other, or the higher consciousness that you, yourself inhabit
One can be an athiest, while the other religious, and you can play twenty questions one against the other and win
There is a principle from computer science – as soon as two agents interact, you now have formed a new agent
This is you
You are one agent that is made of interacting agents all the way down to at least the quantum level, and zooming out higher, the phenomena occurring in crowds and group psychology
We are not the last layer of interacting conscious agents, there more complex ones that form that we are not implicitly aware of
And from here, we can see that the various sub-disciplines of science: physics, chemistry, biology, psychology, philosophy, politics, economics, etc. are simply a means of understanding the nuances of each emergent layer of reality
Obviously, it is a lot to ask everybody to have an expert’s level of knowledge in every scientific sub-discipline herein, but it is less-so to ask for the average person to have a base-level of knowledge to at least be able to navigate these landscapes
And to say you can’t, you are either selling your abilities short, or you simply do not want to put in the work to do so, which if the latter is the case, you should try and recognize the value in true understanding
Think how much easier it is to find something with the lights on
When you can see reality for what is truly is, meaningfully navigating it becomes much easier
The system has been actively working to disengage you, keep you just smart enough to run the machines, keeping you favouring information related to tv-dramas or sports; meant to further distract you
Which is the main reason for making this piece in the first place
Even if you don’t achieve true understanding, if you are honestly and constantly pursuing it, you will get closer and therefore be more effective at deciphering what it is you perceive, and meaningfully navigating with the most efficiency you can, and toward the goal most worth pursuing
And again, in an ideal world we could just rely on people and institutions who hold our best interests to inform us of these complexities
But in the real world, where there exists ego, career advancement, bribery, blackmailing, the crafting of political narratives, intentional misuse of statistics to skew results, ignoring information that contradicts the narrative, and shame in making mistakes and then hiding those mistakes
Or even more innocuous things like well-meaning people naively using faulty information
Sadly, we cannot rely on those, even who we trust and know, to relay both reality and the optimal navigation strategy to you, along with the short and long-term implications for all of the relevant variables
And for that matter, we can’t necessarily trust the reality we are presented with on its face
You must learn how to step back, and truly gauge what is happening, especially in the ever muddying and ever more convoluted social spheres that amass
But then how do we even go forward, what can you trust
Does truth even exist
If falsehoods or incorrect answers exist, then by default a truth does exist, it just depends which feedback loops and timescales are being examined
And how do you do that if the scientists and institutions can’t necessarily be trusted
You must understand the tool that science is at it’s core, and understand how to use it in your core, to fully see how others are using it
Science is the human attempt to combine logic and observation to create a model that precisely reflects the system being observed
It is the process of trying to create a description of the feedback loops and how they interact with one another on the most fundamental level, and it is thus far the best method we have at establishing the truths of the reality in which we find ourselves
Science can be proven wrong, but only by more and better science
But how do you avoid the issue of scientists and institutions intentionally or passively relaying misinformation
Luckily, not everybody has the same goal, and often times various entities have opposing goals, or are often trying to take one another down a peg
And therefore the truth often-times ends up somewhere in the middle, and what you can glean through this process is how the overall mechanism generally works in the varying scenarios
And by analyzing how the studies are done, and by asking yourself who profits if this is true
You can better gauge the nuances of which aspects of which feedback loops are affected, and over what timescales
Also, all sciences aren’t on equal footing
Studies coming from the pharmaceutical industry have billions of dollars backing them and billions of dollars dependent on their findings from specific people or companies
And when they are found lying, the fine they face is significantly less than the profits they earned
Studies coming from the physics community don’t have that same baggage and therefore don’t require the same level of scrutiny necessarily
As pushing incorrect physics findings leads to malfunctioning technology which benefits no one, whereas there is a lot of money to be made in keeping people sick
Learn all of the types of logical fallacies and cognitive biases
This will do you untold amounts of good navigating inside and outside the sphere of science
Learn what types of studies are most applicable for each observed system, how applicable their methods are
And how analyze how accurately their statistical analysis reflects their description of the system
As well as the generalization of their results to all other identical or similar systems
Even if you only have a fundamental lay-understanding, this will get you further than no understanding
Hint: Metanalyses are your friend
But try and find metanalyses from various sources, or do your own if there is only one or none
Actively seek out and engage in discussion with people who disagree with you
For there is a truth to be found that one, or neither of you are espousing
And by avoiding each other, neither of you can truly be confident in your understanding
Even if you are correct, now you know that your logic is sound, and that is very valuable to constantly be sure of
And be sure to detach the concept of being wrong about something as being detrimental to your ego, this is a bug in thinking, and only leads you further astray from the truth
Next, in order to truly gauge the social-sphere, there are some confounding factors that obscure the picture we need to be aware of
For instance, if you think the general consensus on Twitter reflects the general consensus of the public, you need to consider the demographic landscape
Twitter’s total accounts hover around being twenty percent adults and thirty percent female, and roughly ten percent of the accounts are responsible for eighty to ninety-two percent of the total tweets
And that isn’t even mentioning things like acquiescence bias, especially being in the public sphere and all
And then instances where companies, like Monsanto
Buy internet trolls to counter the narrative in every instance there was a mention against GMO’s and the company’s image
Or how lobby groups will give money to youtubers to espouse certain points
Things like this vastly distort the picture, until you become aware of them that is, and continue to work to see past them
But don’t stop at the companies, for governments are found playing in this sphere as well
Russia, like Monsanto, actively engages in the use of internet troll farms to craft false narratives
But Russia’s more focused on inflating political tensions, and has been found playing both sides of the battle
With accounts espousing racism and hatred, as well as accounts espousing far, far, far left views, with both narratives coming from the exact same place
Even going so far as to deliberately organize a Black Lives Matter rally right across the street from a neo-Nazi rally
Don’t trust that what you see is happening is what is actually happening, especially online
It’s all a big game of divide and conquer, and they are clouding your judgment
And it doesn’t end online, do you remember all those quote unquote random brick pallets outside court houses and other key buildings during the BLM protests in The States
And there are people, like Eric Holder for instance, who have paid people to start riots that otherwise probably would not have happened
Very little to none of what you see is real or an honest portrayal of what is really going on
They are artificially inflating tensions on both sides
Which means us striving to solve these problems as if they have legitimate roots is futile, as we can not solve an issue if the cause of the problem is still festering
It’s like putting on air conditioning to stop a fever
The person being hot is not the problem and that won’t cure them, you are futily trying to treat one of the symptoms
But it especially doesn’t help when the CIA created the term conspiracy theories in nineteen-sixty-seven, where their internal dispatch on the matter clearly lays out their strategies coinciding with the term to throw the public off their trail:
Claim it’s impossible for the coordination of so many people
Have allies of the CIA attack claims and point to official narrative
Question eye-witness reliability
Ignore any claims unless the discussion’s too active
Claim it is old news with no significant evidence
Claim it’s irresponsible to speculate and to accuse theorists of being too in love with their theories, or being financially or politically motivated
And they have been actively using media outlets to perpetuate the distrust in conspiracies and trust in the official narrative
Which even the most gullible amongst us must admit does not add up, at least occasionally
And when you have the C.I.A. trafficking drugs, hiding projects from congress, having carried out known projects like MKULTRA
And constructing plans like Operation Northwoods
Journalists like Ken Dilanian proven to be puppets espousing C.I.A. narratives
And then the US government intentionally poisoning and selling alcohol to bootleggers during prohibition
And lying about The Gulf of Tonkin Incident to enter the Vietnam war
Weapons of mass destruction in Iraq
Despite their best efforts, we know conspiracies happen
But we can’t stop there - for the next leviathan to slay on the path to freedom is the lobbying industry
It is blatantly evident where the power lies when comparing the consensus of the general public versus the desires of moneyed interests
One of the biggest examples being the pharmaceutical industry in the U.S.
How is it the country with the most money going into the pharmaceutical industry is also the country with the most sick people
And why are they paying more per treatment than any other first world country
Well, when you see the pharmaceutical industry often spends the most on lobbyists
Three-times more than the next nearest industry in twenty-twenty
Suddenly the mystery starts to clear up
Studies have found lobbying to be the most beneficial business practice to engage in
With gains comparable to the uppermost hedge-funds, grossing as much as a twenty-two-thousand percent return on investment
So when the pharmaceutical industry has between one-thousand to two-thousand registered lobbyists in the U.S.
Spending over one-hundred-million dollars to oppose drug-cost-reductions, stringent testing regulations and legal liability for the companies
As well as to influence media narratives
It’s no wonder we see the mess that we do
And when looking at comparative studies, how do pharmaceuticals do compared with exercise, proper healthy eating and getting vitamin D from sunlight
Pharmaceuticals comparatively come up very short for most health conditions, to where it’s not even a contest
Especially when considering healthy eating, exercise and sunlight are preventative measures to most conditions
But how much money can be made by people jogging, eating vegetables and standing in the sun
A pittance compared to what the pharmaceutical industry, and their lobbyists are used to pulling in
Which don’t forget, the lobbyists themselves are used to pulling in hundreds of thousands if not millions for representing these companies
They are a whole industry in themselves, who have a vested interest in maintaining their existence
And yet somehow, that’s not even the most evil and soulless act in the sphere
You have to remember that for-profit prisons exist, and also engage in lobbying
In two-thousand-nineteen and twenty-twenty the prison industry spent over four million dollars in lobbying
Well what were they lobbying for
Surely it can’t have been that bad
Well, what do you think of harsher laws, longer sentencing and less stringent regulations for hiring and living conditions
At least private industries are often better performing than the public services wrapped up in bureaucracy though
Especially with how much money they have to throw around, surely the private prisons are better
Yeah you’d think
But comparatively, they typically have worse overpopulation, more prisoner stabbings and worse living conditions, while also hiring more inexperienced and under qualified guards
And remember, they are spending money in lobbying so that they can be paid more money to imprison more people
Just take a second and think about how gross that is
Slavery didn’t end, it just moved to the prisons and mandated community service, which predominantly affects those of lower socioeconomic status
They have given us the illusion of having defeated slavery
I strongly recommend perusing sources like opensecrets.org and WikiLeaks to try and gain insight as to what exactly is happening here ,with the lobbyists and government
But in the meantime, they’re keeping us distracted, fighting amongst ourselves
Artificially inflating tensions between us so that we waste our time uselessly addressing those issues, as if their root cause was sincerely rising from innate causes
For again, if the problem was artificially put here, addressing it as if it were naturally there will seldom, if ever, be as effective as addressing it’s true origin
Yes, that will be a monumental task that requires a collective, concerted effort on our part
But that doesn’t mean it isn’t achievable, especially since the end-goal is undeniably worth striving for
It just requires the perfect storm and perfect timing
For we’ve seen that when rogue politicians, without perverse incentives, rise to try and free us
The powers that be actively and nakedly do everything within their abilities to keep them down
As a recent example, the twenty-thousand internal DNC emails released by WikiLeaks are very evident that there was an active, concerted effort to defeat Bernie Sanders
The only serious political candidate at least espousing to make the effort to make these meaningful changes we need
And in the U.S. there are donation limits of ten-thousand dollars
However Hilary Clinton made deals with thirty-three states so that one person could donate in each of those thirty-three states, increasing that ten-thousand dollars to thirty-three-thousand dollars
And the recipient DNC in that state had agreed to send the money to “The Hilary Victory Fund”
And of these thirty-three states, twenty-two of them had signed agreements to specifically not endorse Bernie Sanders
That’s nearly half of the states, and you need over half to win
And even during the actual election, there are videos showing nakedly rigged coin flips, where the closeness of the vote deemed the flips necessary
Never trust or marry yourself to a political party or ideology
For at the end of the day, once money comes into play, it’s all a meaningless show
It especially becomes undeniable when you have senators like Krysten Sinema
Accepting money from and acting in favour of those whose agenda’s are in complete opposition to the that of her party and her alleged personal values
One of the most insightful things Donald Trump said, was that before he ran and he was just a regular rich guy
That he would donate to both sides politically, so that no matter who wins, they would owe him a favour
We must quash the power these abstract entities have over crafting the narratives, as well as the laws
And start to treat these companies and governments like they are as real as we are
They exist on the same metaphysical abstraction layer that we do as conscious agents, they are just disembodied
Which doesn’t stop them from defending themselves or encroaching in our reality, even despite the human creator’s best intentions
We must dispose of monopolies and duopolies, and redirect our and their incentives
Maximize for truth, transparency and balance of both individual and societal, long-term well-being, for that will ultimately benefit everybody
They have simply become short-sighted, valuing positive feedback loops which only superficially benefit them in the short-term, and will be detrimental to all of us soon enough
We must fully bring the power of these companies, lobbyists and governments to a more honest place
For how else can we truly end war
The majority of individual people do not want it, but power to end war lies in the hands of governments and corporations, and they are primarily incentivized by acquiring profit, power and influence
For if they truly cared about human rights more than profits, how would things looks in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq
Or how would relations in general with countries like Saudi Arabia and China actually look if the values were truly as claimed
Just take a brief look at their human rights records versus their profits and see if the math for their priorities add up
And all this for money
But what even is money
It’s all predicated on another feedback loop called cyclical consumption
Where the employee sells their labour, the employer sells their goods and services, and the consumer trades their money
But the money itself is spawned from and operates entirely on debt, and assuming that there are enough resources and people to exploit indefinitely, for if not, the system completely dissolves
Good thing all our sources of energy are infinitely renewable, and don’t pollute
Placing us in a spiralling negative feedback loop though, right
And good thing the economy can just keep growing infinitely, and the compound debt-interest bubble won’t pop, right
Right
So here let’s focus in on what money is
Emergent in the metaphysical layer, it is based in the abstract concept of virtually stored value
Whose worth we all mutually agree to and update according to the scarcity of the virtual value verses scarcity of what is exchanged for
It can be an effective tool; it’s more reliable than bartering, as money doesn’t expire like food, or require upkeep like animals
But it is only worth having if the feedback loops in which money being implemented allows for a state of equilibrium
And doesn’t create a positive or negative long-term feedback loop that can’t be corrected for
But let’s understand what money even is
Money is itself debt
And if all debt everywhere was paid off, there would be no more money
Now, when considering owed debts are often coupled with owing interest, what results from this is more money being owed than there is total money in the system
I’ll repeat, if all debt is paid off, there is no more money, and due to interest on debts, there is more money owed to the system than there is total money
This is a great example of a negative feedback loop, which as we know, is not conducive to equilibrium, unless it’s balanced out by another force in the overall system
Such as the exploitation of resources and people or inflation
Countries can print money in order to match the aforementioned virtual value scarcity versus physical scarcities, and it especially makes sense to do so if their population itself is growing
But like most things, there exists a bell-curve, where eventually the returns become diminishing
If a country prints too much money, the inflation devalues their currency
So this whole system is itself predicated on infinite growth of the population and infinite access to resources
All to meet the demands of the even faster-growing debt bubble, which it will truly never meet, and is actively trying to not meet
This especially becomes daunting considering how scarce most of our key resources are starting to become
Well, good thing this hasn’t been done at a larger scale at least, where whole nations could be taken advantage of when unable to pay-off high-interest loans, through austerity measures right
Right
Because that wouldn’t affect millions of people who don’t even have the power to say no, or would be able to follow through on the deal anyways, right
And even going beyond the latent evil laying there, what of the active evil of warfare
For here again, we find that money is the root of the issue, but for more subtle reasons than one is used to hearing
And to truly end war, we must understand why it is waged, beyond the surface level justifications politicians, lobbyists and journalists will typically give
There are huge economic incentives in going to war; not only pillaging the resources of the country – be it oil from the wars in the middle east, or fruit in the banana wars
But the real incentives lie in the defence contracts, and the contracts for rebuilding after the war
Windfall’s contract for the Iraq war is a good example, or Tutor Perini’s contracts
And then there’s the manufacturing and selling of weapons to both sides of the conflict
And finally, worst, yet most subtle of all
Devaluing and inflating the currency of the invaded country, giving us leverage over their economy
Not to mention the fact they have lost infrastructure, resources and people, which will have an impact putting them in a worse position economically
Which all of that forces them into a place where we can exploit sweatshops and slave labour, to ultimately further under-pay them, driving down the cost of our goods
They create a problem only to profit from solving it, or quote unquote solving it, on both sides
Milking as much as they can at every step, regardless of what the human, animal or environmental suffering cost may be
All they care about is their individual short-term positive feedback loop
No care is given to other’s feedback loops in the short or long-term
And they intentionally play into your weaknesses and blind spots; exploiting scapegoats, false consensuses and your fears
But they aren’t the only entities you should be aware of manipulating your vulnerabilities
But let’s pause here, and circle back to the emergent layers
Emerging from the patterns forming in reflexes in the biological layer, we see the cusp of the metaphysical layer peaking out
One or a small collection of these reflexes is just that – and obviously the complexity in patterns that permeate our existence aren’t likely to be seen here
Zooming down to the biological layer, it is common for genes or whole chromosomes to accidentally create duplicates of themselves
Which if it doesn’t have an overall detrimental affect on the feedback loops within the cell, will now have the system being able to afford one gene to mutate and become something slightly different while the other stays the same, acting as a back up
Scaling up, we see this same effect sometimes with whole organs or systems – where sometimes people have extra or less fingers or kidneys for instance
So imagine an organism has its whole reflex system for detection being duplicated, and that being passed down to its descendants
At first the two systems would be doing the same job, but the advantage in doing so would be that one could act as a confirmation
So if both systems are in agreement, then an action is taken, correcting for any errors in detection
Which brings us to our brain – we can see the neural evolution of the spinal cord, brain stem, and brain growing over time
And if we imagine systems with a similar function duplicating and then evolving specialization; one system specializing for detection, while the other is a feedback loop that acts to verify that detection seems like a good first step
Followed by these two systems fine-tuning their complexity in either sphere
And this is exactly where we find ourselves, or at least the part of ourselves we deem “consciousness”
In the verification reflex feedback loop that compares one’s expected reality with the actual reality
And compares the potential risks and benefits of each potential action with the expected reality
Generating a mock- reality to test, inside the duplicate detection system
Within this space of emergent patterns, the gene-equivalent for a reflex emerges which has been labelled the meme
Not the two-thousands internet meme you’re likely familiar with, but Richard Dawkins’ definition of the meme from the nineteen-seventies
Memes are like genes in that they are the formation of patterns that are able to store information, as well as replicate and transmit – both vertically and horizontally
Where vertical transmission refers to passing from parent to offspring, and horizontal transfer is between individuals already alive, even of different species
Genes do this, although horizontal transfer occurs mostly within RNA systems, where bacteria and viruses can pass genes vertically, to their offspring
Or pass their genes horizontally amongst each other, allowing all sorts of new room for mutations and genetic combinatory possibilities
Memes, we see can pass from parent to offspring
One example being in chicken studies, showing chickens gain and lose the fear of overhead silhouettes over multiple generations of exposure or non-exposure
Showing memories or at least fears can be vertically passed on to offspring
And we can also see, quite plainly, that memes pass horizontally person-to-person, no problem, most efficiently in fact, and even between species
As evidenced just in the two-way communication with humans and cats or dogs
And these memes are subject to the same forces of evolution and natural selection as our genes – only they live in a more virtual space, and can adapt and spread much more quickly
When a meme enters your mindspace, the feedback loops of logic created by the already existing memes in the mindspace will lead to
The new meme being accepted and integrated, be rejected, or will mutate or splice with another meme to then integrate, and then pass to the next mindspace
And once enough memes start coalescing, you guessed it, we see a new emergent layer of patterns or structures
Some of these entities are more basic, such as revenge
It takes at minimum the concepts of me being an entity and an evaluation of my subjective experience, combined with the assumption of you being an entity separate from the environment, and your intentions in the past as well as the future
Just like how there are simple proteins formed from simple genes, once several memes start coalescing
We start to see more complex entities like languages, stories, businesses, games, political movements, and religions emerging
But let’s focus in on the latter example there, for the comparative features to genes are quite apparent
Religions are very emblematic of evolution guided by natural selection
Where you can evidently see the most prominent ones have defence mechanisms protecting them from the memes that would disrupt their feedback loops
As well as having a good replication strategy
The more exclusionary or secretive religions don’t see as many members, and therefore if the group dies off, so to does the religion
Therefore, religions that are: the least falsifiable, open to anyone, with texts that are both widely available and allow for multiple interpretations, will just by default be more successful
But this allows, especially within Christianity for example, for several different denominations with conflicting beliefs
But the base fundamental memes are still very much present, just slightly mutated
And if you were to imagine if civilization collapsed and the Southern Baptists, Catholics and Mormons all became isolated on different islands, but the religious memes still stayed in each population
How different would they look after just a few hundred years of further mutations
For they are already a scant few decades to centuries older than their initial root
All three denominations are fundamentally different and yet similar enough for the beliefs to intermingle with each other, and fall under the same general heading
Similar to mixing a horse and a donkey
But how much longer until the continued mutations will make the three religious denominations completely unrecognizable from each other
For it has been just over a thousand years or so, and the intermingling regions who trace their lineage and religion to Abraham, the Abrahamic religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam, have almost become fully unrecognizable from each other
And with new denominations and interpretations constantly rising, they begin to resemble each other less and less
But how religions really get a foot-hold, Christianity in particular, is by exploiting your shame, your imperfections and your fear the unknown
It even erases the notion of privacy, even within one’s own mind
The original Thought Police – conceptualized and actualized by the elites long before George Orwell put it to paper
But I mean at least it’s possible, right
If we were to at least consider the possibility
Okay sure, so at best, all of the evidence that the all-knowing and all-powerful creator left of Himself is the fever dreams and fairy tales of wandering desert tribes
Passed down by word of mouth for who knows how long
Written down and then copied and translated several times with known alterations
And He then condemns you for requiring more for belief, even though He made eye-witness testimony the least reliable form of evidence, He knew there would be translation errors and alterations
And then He gave you the level of skepticism that you have, and then He refused to meet the level of proof He knew you would need to
Even though he could have done so at any time, or just lower your level of skepticism
But at least the correlation of His appearances increases as our ability to empirically investigate them increases
Not the inverse, right
But at least the story itself makes sense, right
God made Adam and Eve knowing they would sin, but still got mad at them for it and condemns us to sin for it
And the only way He can possibly forgive us for what He made us do, is if we sacrifice life to Him
So Adam and Eve’s kids, Cane and Able, start by doing so, but one is sacrificing plants while the other sacrifices animals
The animal sacrificer gets mad and kills the plant sacrificer for sacrificing plants
Moral of the story, God doesn’t want plants sacrificed to Him, only animals
A few generations later, Abraham and his son Isaac are going up a mountain to make a sacrifice, but they have no animal
God tells Abraham to sacrifice his son, and then decides otherwise, saying that one day, He will make a sacrifice to end all sacrifices
Centuries later, God comes down to take human form, as Jesus, so that He can be killed, because that is the only way that He can forgive our sins, even though God is all powerful, and made the rules for forgiveness, made us and our intentions, and can change anything any time
And is that even a sacrifice
God takes a break from being God, spends a few years pretending to be a human, has a bad weekend, dies, and then is God again for eternity
I don’t know about you, but I’d take that deal anytime, and at no point look at it as a sacrifice on my part, especially as a means to change weird blood-magic laws I could just change anyways
Or better yet, not implement since I know and can do everything
Well, I mean it’s a book of morals and virtues right
It can’t be all that bad
Well, I mean if you are okay with the owning of slaves, “taking your slaves from the nations that surround you” and “beating them so long as they don’t die within a day”
If this is the all knowing, all-powerful God who created everything, everyone, their intentions and morals, and this book is truly His work
Even if He didn’t write it, He knew who would and what they would write, He could change it at any time
So how am I, and I hope you, morally superior to Him
By definition we shouldn’t be, so either we are wrong and slavery and beating slaves is okay and moral, or the all knowing God, and creator of morals is wrong
Which is it
If you believe that people should not own or beat slaves, parents should not kill children who are disobedient or who prophesize, gay people should not be killed
Or if women should not be forced to marry their rapists
Or if you even believe women should be allowed to teach or be in authority over men, then you disagree with The Bible and you disagree with God
Which again, by definition, we shouldn’t be able to do
And before you say Jesus brought the new covenant, or new rules
Quoting Jesus, Matthew chapter five verse seventeen says
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them
All of this being said, it does confer some advantages to some groups, otherwise it would have died off by now
Hence memes being subject to evolution by natural selection
For they interface with the environment just as much as genes do
What a religion does, is to allow for better social cohesion, and for the group to do things that otherwise would be considered wasteful, but turns out to be advantageous
For instance, places of worship tend to be elaborate constructions, which in building, groups of humans incidentally figure out and learn skills like architecture, labour organization, resource allocation and techniques for artistic renderings
And at the end of the day, they have a structure to take shelter in, as well as the means to build new and greater constructions
The sense of community and social cohesion offered by religions is also a benefit evolutionarily, appealing to a power greater than humans as the source of the rules, can lead to less questioning of the rules, especially if those who question are ostracized or killed, thereby leading to the death of both their genes and memes
But most importantly, especially in the pre-modern age with suffering and adversity at every turn, it offers hope and solace to those who would otherwise have none
Promising a far superior existence after this one, but only if you endure it, and don’t question it and devote your every action to it
But going even deeper than just the human psyche, it makes sense from an evolutionary perspective that all comprehending beings have a God-hypothesis of sorts
Or at least the notion of an unknown, unseen mover
It only makes sense that the first organism that evolved the first primitive reaction system, or a comprehending mind of sorts
Had established itself with the innate idea that things just happen for some unknown reason
Not that things happen as well as the reason that they happen – for those are two different problems, the second more challenging
You need to know that things happen before you can investigate how things happen
So developing the theory of an unknown force responsible for actions unexplained, or a god, and then slowly refining the detection and understanding techniques, shrinking the space occupied by the unknown, would be the logical advancement for a series of organisms incrementally ascertaining environmental comprehension
Understanding that things happen is necessary before understanding how they happen
And understanding how they happen ultimately gives that mind a better ability to predict and navigate the reality in which it finds itself
Zooming back out, once this notion of an unknown mover becomes fully conceptualized between groups of people, for the individuals evolving within the group
Those who are more likely to believe religious claims or who are susceptible to logical fallacies
Or those who can believe they have perceived a spiritual experience of some sort are more likely to believe the religion and adhere to and cooperate with the group
And therefore are more likely to pass on this series of reflexes to their offspring
And if the group is implementing a successful strategy, even if they are happenstantially doing the right thing for the wrong reasons
Those individuals, and therefore the group will be more likely to pass on the genes and the system of memes that lead to their success
So it makes sense that religion does on some level conveys some benefit to the group and individual, but that doesn’t mean it’s still necessary
Especially once we’ve surpassed various milestones in understanding
As we see with the ever receding God of the Gaps, and overwhelmingly net negative effects induced by religions when comparing measures to more modern, secular populations
Just because a strategy was a sufficient fit in the past does not mean we should be beholden to it indefinitely, especially considering that as humans, we have the ability to make that recognition and change
Stagnating in old rules and strategies while the world changes is a great way for memes or genes to go extinct
We have a lot of left-over evolutionary baggage that was useful in getting us to where we are, and may be useful in getting us back to here, should we return to the dark ages
But where we find ourselves currently is a place where it is no longer useful
Luckily, humans have the ability to not only recognize and understand such impediments, but to also how to meaningfully navigate around them
Should we choose to acknowledge the issue, it’s sources and the potential remedial strategies
As well as their short and long term effects on individual human, small groups, large groups, humanity as a whole, and all of the systems humans interact with
Again, this sounds like a lot to consider for one individual, but it is not impossible
Especially since in at least striving to do so, you will land you closer to the optimal navigation strategy
Compared to just choosing the option that makes you feel comforted, seems simplest or is something an expert told you
Whose intentions may be co-opted, or the information they are referencing is itself incorrect, despite best their intentions
If you can at least have a working intuition of how the various systems interact, then you’re not in no danger, but you’re at least in less danger than having not tried to gain any understanding
If you are stumbling in the dark, you still may find what you’re looking for
But it’s a lot easier and more likely when the lights are on and you can actually see
But ultimately, even if we truly understand everything, what’s the meaning of this all
Especially when facing down titans like nihilism, cynicism, absurdism, and solipsism
We find ourselves, a series of emergent patterns, capable of experiencing a seemingly finite, qualitative existence, wherein there exists a continuum between subjectively positive and negative experiences
Do with that what you will, just be sure you are taking as many aspects of all the feedback loops into consideration that you can
Ion the short-term and the long-term, on the levels above and bellow your own
Take into account game theory, remembering the that better you treat others, the better they in-turn treat you
The unexamined life is not one worth living
And although this may seem directed at Americans, they just happen to be the most emblematic of this
We are all subject to the forces accruing individual short-term benefits, perceived or actual
While they impose harm on us, others and potentially even them-selves in the long-term
All it takes to subvert their goals is to truly see and understand them and their tactics
We must derail the sciolistic curtain they have been trying to enshroud us in
And all it starts by overthrowing the four/four, diatonic system
