Hunger Games Legacy Challenge!
This is a fourteen generation Sims 4 Challenge I made that goes in order from the capitol to district 13. It includes an in-depth reaping system that varies from generation to generation, so don’t play this if you tend to get attached to your sims.
However if you want to spice up your game with a little bloodshed, then this is the perfect challenge for you.
(Honestly I made this as an excuse to use my 2500+ word name analysis I wrote here)
Reaping
Each generation (Excluding capital) when your children age up into teens you’ll have to roll a random number generation, each generation has different odds. If the number lands on seven (Or whatever number you choose between one and eight) then they go to the Hunger Games. You can either have this written as they die immediately, you can roll again between 1 and 24, or you can use the custom odds for each district I’ll include below. If they land on one (Or whatever number you chose) then they survive, and are rewarded with 50,000 simoleons and fame (Cheated to be made into a three star celebrity if you have Get Famous.)
If you wish, each child can sign up for Tessera, and be rewarded with 1000 extra simoleons in exchange for them doubling their odds of being reaped. (Either roll twice, or choose a second number that will send them into the games as well) But remember! This is cumulative! If the teen goes through another reaping they have to have their number rolled twice , and that's if they don’t get tessera a second time. Then they will have to roll three times.
Reaping Holiday
If you have the seasons expansion pack then instead of having a reaping everytime someone turned into a teen you could make the reaping into a holiday. I personally made a holiday every two weeks, so twice a year on the shortest season setting. Because of this, on a normal lifespan teens will go through a reaping twice, though if you change your lifespan you may have to alter this. If one of the female teenagers in your house is reaped then all the other females of reaping age are safe. Same if one of your boys is reaped. If you have a trans sim they will be reaped with their prefered gender. If they are non-binary then how they are reaped is up to you.
Capital
You came into this world knowing you had a destiny, and there was a bigger goal for you than merely existing. At least that's what you tell people. Whether you believe it yourself, well, that’s up to speculation. Either way it helps you get where you want to be, so who cares? Even then, it’s not enough. It’s never enough for you.

District One
Your parents left you copious amounts of wealth. Unlike those around you you’ll never starve or be left wanting for anything. You live a good life, and if you didn’t want to you’d probably never have to work a day in your life. Still, you’re an icon. You do have a job, just not a traditional one; Your job is to be an idol for the people, a symbol to prove that if they work hard they and their children might one day be able to live like you. It’s not true of course, but your job is to convince them of it.

District Two
You're used to the luxury of your parents and grandparents, but unlike them you’re no fool. They always got their way with charming smiles and lofty words, but even that failed sometimes. You know the only way to always get your way is pure, brute strength. You have no sympathy or mercy for those weaker than you, and you’ll show them no kindness.

You were always carefree, almost to the point of being described as naive. Of course you’d always argue that wasn’t the case, as you were always aware of the turmoil in the world around you, you just chose not to choose sides publicly. Of course if someone asked for help you’d be willing to lend a hand, but you would do it from the side lines. Life is cruel, yet you do your best to make it a little better when you can.

People don’t like you. Some people have good reasons for it, others do not, but that hardly matters. They might not like you, but they need to keep you around. You have the habit of putting yourself in powerful positions, yet that doesn’t change the fact that your life is a wreck. A fun wreck that’s completely your own fault, but still a wreck.

Your family was interesting and it really messed you up. Divorces, affairs, secret children, it’s hardly a surprise that when you turned 18 you packed your bags and walked out the door with little to your name. District Seven
Your parent never treated you poorly, but you always had a feeling that they didn’t really want you around. Both of you stayed in your own lane and never interacted much, making it so you had to fend for yourself often. You weren’t a genius but you were smart enough to figure out how things worked and how to be useful. You left on your own at some point, not wanting to live the nomadic life of your predecessor. When you had your own family you promised you’d never make your own children feel unwanted.

You were skilled with your hands at a young age, being forced to mend most of your own clothes and repair most of your own appliances. When you were a teen your home was attacked. It was burnt to the ground, killing your parents, some of your siblings, and leaving you with nothing. From the day you were born you were just another mouth to feed. You didn’t really even know there was a better way to live as you found your family fighting for every scrap they could get their hands on. You lived in a small house with your aunt, uncles, and your parent, but you were never close with any of them. Your only companion was your loyal hound, which you shared all of your food with. When your family demands the dog be kicked out you leave them instead.

You would never forget the day your kind parent died. It wasn’t a natural death, one that you could see coming, it was quick and tragic. You’d never forgive the government for letting them die. You know they’re to blame. Whether from a direct attack, from malicious policies, or just plain neglect for its citizens, they let them die. Your parent was always forgiving, but you are not.

Your parents fought and sacrificed to end the brutal hunger games and reaping. You weren’t completely saved from it, but you survived and were able to escape, and any children you would have were saved from the same fate. Of course this would be relevant if a pox outbreak didn’t make you infertile, but you’re not complaining. You were able to receive an education, get a good job, and live a life of comfort your ancestors forgot generations ago.
