I spend every day wondering how the fuck I graduated college but I'm still too stupid to remember basic shit.
I know I said I wasn't sure if I'd be able to draw him in his new outfit today, but I don't know who I was trying to kid. Anyway, that smile is a shot of pure euphoria.
I aspire to be an old man that screams at the sky and stares off into the field with a wistful, haunted look in my eye that makes people wonder if I've taken my meds or not.

When will I be forgiven for my sins?
The only way forward is to stop treating masculinity as synonymous with harmful, monstrous, or dangerous.
There is a fundamental difference between "men are dangerous" (wrong, bioessentialist) and "the patriarchy allows dangerous men to exist unchecked" (true).
The patriarchy also teaches men to associate masculinity with sexual 'conquest', with competition, with being in charge, with the ability to do violence, with being superior to women. It teaches men to be constantly vigilant about not being masculine enough, to block off parts of their personality that could be perceived as feminine, to punish other men who aren't masculine enough.
Men who uncritically accept the patriarchies' interpretation of masculinity become dangerous men.

can we get a shoutout to trans girls who don't wear makeup
i don't need to just keep practicing I don't need to just learn to contour or whatever the fuck else I'm 100% happy being bare-faced and the only times i ever felt compelled to do makeup was for other people's benefit!
watch the mfs with zero reading comprehension get ahold of this and act like I'm personally attacking them for wearing makeup
adding on trans girls who don’t shave their face or armpits or legs, or have short hair, or do any of the things that are seen as “saying Fuck You to the patriarchy” when cis women do it but for Some Reason when trans women do it they’re “not trying hard enough to pass.” do whatever you want with your meat suit and related adornments forever.
2010s wokeness? We didn't get federal recognition of gay marriage until Obergefell v Hodges in the summer of *2015*. Don't Ask Don't Tell didn't end until fall 2011 (I actually remember when it was first passed and how it was supposed to be protection not suppression).
The use of the word "naff" is very British so this person might not have actually been in the US in the 2010s and as I was not in the UK during that time period there very well may have been a lot of "performative" queer expression there, they'd had gay marriage for several years by then. Absolutely not the case in the US. Absolutely not the case in Texas.
Having been around for the AIDS crisis, the murder of Matthew Shepard, and everything since, I have been *screaming* that rainbow capitalism is better than the alternative. Now we have lost Budweiser, who was with us since the 90s, we have lost Target. We are losing public spaces and public artworks.
Just because you didn't bother with the struggle or showed up after doesn't mean it didn't happen. It took fighting to get to where we could have rainbow crosswalks. It was never "performative" or guaranteed. Thinking it was is why we are losing it all now.
