Nodding slowly, Mon-El looked down. It was so hard to be back in the 21st century after living for seven years in another century. âYeah, no. You wonât be alive. Neither would Clark. There was just me, and the Legion..â He whispered his last words. It was almost hard not to have the legion with him, after all he was their leader. He looked at her as she turned away, feeling his heart breaking even more. He loved her. And it was painful to know he was hurting her. âI canât tell them because I donât know if they still are in the future or if they are dead. And Iâm not a telepath, if they were here I donât know where. They could be in Europe or.. Buried under a tone of ice in Alaska, I have no idea.â He admitted, shaking his head slightly. âThey are my friends, I shouldâve make sure they would be okay.â He said with a worried tone in his voice, though this worry disappeared when he got closer to her. He looked into her eyes and pressed his lips slowly. âKara, I..â He started, taking a deep breath. âEverywhere that Iâve been, everything that Iâve done, I couldnât have done it if you werenât here. And within centuries, and death, and all of the stuff that had happened, there was just.. A few things I was sure of. I was sure you made me change for good, that I was.. Am a hero, that you inspire people, even in ten centuries from now..â He stopped for a moment, deeply breathing. âAnd that I love you. No matter where I am, and no matter what century Iâm in. I love you.â
Taking in a deep breath, she lets herself process the words that he is currently telling her, and she knew that he wasnât wrong about her not being alive, she knew that Kryptonians aged more slowly, but death was still inevitable for them. Although she did have her back completely away from him now, there was still that huge part of her, aching to turn back around and look at him, she loved him so much, she always will, but things are different now for him, maybe even for her. âEither way, both situations donât exactly seem like the best ones from the way you are saying it so, Iâm sorry. Hopefully itâs the former at least.â Kara mumbles, despite how she was being towards him, she was still going to be kind towards his team even if she didnât know them. âHey, considering they are your friends, they probably all are okay and trying to find a way to find you.â She reassures him, biting down hard on her lip as she clears her throat and looks away when he looks into her eyes, knowing that if she stared back, she would practically melt at the sight, but his words made that change for her, perhaps without even realising it, Kara was slowly looking back up at him, mouth opening and closing for a few seconds as her eyes glanced down to his lips longer than she should be looking at them. âIâm so happy to hear that you have been able to inspire people, that youâre a hero, Iâve always believed in you.â She whispers softly, taking in a deep breath as eyes begin to once more tear up. âAnd I love you too. I always will.â Kara admits, pressing her lips together.
