The New Gizmobay!
It has been a while since we have posted anything on our blog. In our defense, we’ve been busy moving into our new office and building our new website layout. From this date on you’ll start hearing about us more often. Our new website will be launching by the end of this march so stay tuned! There have been a lot of changes in our new layout. I would like to point out a few in this blog. First off we have added a new look to our site. We stopped using Skeuomorphism layout design and have moved towards Flat design. Flat design has been around for a long time but now it’s been used more prominently. In addition it makes the website look better. We have added a lot of new features such as “likes” which we call *Gear ups*, private messaging system, checkout system and a lot more. We would like you guys to test all these things out when we launch. Stay tuned for more information coming up! Check out these pics from our new office, we’re planning to make our own workshop here. If you live in Toronto and need somewhere to work on your hardware projects don’t hesitate to contact us! We would love to open our space to the public.
Closed Beta!
Today we are proud to release our closed beta! It’s time to start getting people to join and help us build the Gizmobay community! So let’s talk about what this means and what the future has in store for us. Currently we want makers, students , engineers, and industrial designers to join Gizmobay and start uploading innovative mechanical and electrical products. We want a community for all of us to share our expertise and make amazing products. Our goal is to create a place for makers, such as ourselves, to earn money by making products we love without working at a second job. We first plan to have makers initially sell gizmos in small quantities and evolve with the Gizmobay community. We have lots of features to add on Gizmobay and with your support we can increase that. Help us grow and create a place where we can make, invent, and sell lots of gizmos. Hardware is the new software and it’s time for makers to rise! Cheers, Gizmobay Crew! Visit Gizmobay Website
The Start!
What better way to start our blog but with pictures from famous robots in our childhood? We think most of us got our inspiration from movies such as Star Wars and Star Trek where our imagination blossomed. Today we can make almost anything at our convenience with development platforms such as the Arduino and PIC. Here we are making it possible for makers to sell gizmos online by themselves without going through the competitive industry. In addition we want them to be recognized for their innovative creation and ideas. For buyers, this is the place where you will find gadgets and devices that you will not find anywhere else. You can buy gizmos that save you time, money, or maybe lives but most will probably entertain you because they’re awesome. Our job here is to market our community products and make them available for people who will need them. Cheers, GizmoBay crew Visit Gizmobay Website
