My vision wavered and I couldn't move anymore...within seconds, I found myself immediately casted onto the cooled sand with my eyelids heavier than ever.
The sound of giggling was the lead that pulled me from my slumber, I gasped and jumped awake, only to immediately be greeted by a masked woman staring down at me with a look of pure visceral glee. That jacket she wore looked familiar...far too familiar. Dread dropped to the pit of my stomach like a heavy stone once I fully came to realization of where the jacket came from and who it belonged to...not even minding that her bare breasts were out in plain view for anyone who ran across her to see. This woman was someone that crazy asshole Derek kept close, the single glint in her eye was all it took to leave my blood running cold. She had been eyeing me ever since the rest of the captives were made present by the other masked killers who were hunting us down for sport. I donât know why she grew a fascination specifically towards me, but it was all the hint I needed to stay as far away from her as possible.
Something was not right about her.
"Wakey Wakey eggs and bakey~!" She mocked, seeming to find pure joy in the fact that I didn't dare move an inch from where I was. She looked at me as though she could read my fear, possibly even smell it. I didnât want to risk any chances in finding out.
"I bet you were expecting Derek weren't you...?" She asked me, her tone nearly matching the same condescension that blonde bastard would give to me the first time I ran into him earlier in the day, not even giving me a chance to respond before holding up what appeared to be a hatchet of sorts in one hand, and a decorative knife in the other.Â
"Sorry, but he said he got bored playing with his new toy, so he gave me to you! Isn't he just the sweetest~? Guess he wasn't kidding when he said this vacation would be fun~! Although...it wasn't fun before when I was in your position last year....â She paused, her only eye seeming to be contemplating on her next choice of action after revealing something as fucked up as that.
Sheâs...been a captive before me...? Sheâs...had to deal with Derek before me...?
I didnât know whether to feel sympathy, or to feel more pure dread at the mere thought of how broken this woman had become within the span of a year. Whatever Derek did to her, I didnât what to know.
As though reading my mind, her hesitant look quickly shifted back to that unadulterated glee she held before, tilting her head and stomping her foot down harshly on my chest, causing an uncontrolled scream to rip through my throat despite the wind being knocked out of my lungs, I couldâve sworn I heard what sounded like bones cracking from the force.Â
Did this crazy bitch crack my ribs!?!
âBut that's okay!â She happily chimed, keeping the weight of her boot on my chest as she leaned down closer, now eye to eye, her eye squinting much further to express the smile she was wearing underneath that blank mask of hers. âMaybe you'll be different and actually enjoy this along with me~!! Guess we'll have to wait and see what Strade thinks of you~"
