On Monday February 14th 2022 at 7:27am I gave birth to my first child, Margot, after 48 hours of extremely painful and exhausting labour! It was quite the birth story. But she was worth it.., she is perfection. Dj is the best Daddy already.

On Saturday February 12 I went into early labour around 7:00am, after having Braxton hicks contractions throughout the entire night while I was sleeping. My water had not broken yet, so when I woke up i didn’t think I was in labour. I went pee and saw that my mucous plug has begun to come out! I still thought I had a few days to a week before baby arrives… so dumb lol. So I drove Dj to work, and as I was getting back home my contractions continue and started to become more intense and closer together. That’s when I was messaging Chantelle and she said, are you sure you’re not having actual contractions? I realized that I was when I got home and more “bloody show” had happened- more mucous plug in toilet after peeing.

So, I told my dad I was going to lay down. I went upstairs and called Dj to tell him things are progressing and I’m pretty sure I’m in labour. He was so happy and in shock! He sent me an app for timing contractions, and told me to start toning them. So I hung up, laid in bed, and starting tracking them. Turns out the were already lasting about 20 seconds happening every 10-15mins. When I send dj a picture of my recorded contractions he called me right away and said, they’re that close already?! I’m coming home! It’s go time!
