WIP Wednesday, and... yep, another whumpy one. Assuming I ever finish it, lol.
Watching Land of Bad got my brain spinning: what if, before Trosky interrogation, Henry, Godwin, and Zizka were all beaten half to death and thrown into the same cell, the one Hans ends up in during For Whom the Bell Tolls? (This cell is so dark without a torch yall)
Battered and exhausted, spending what they think might be their final hours together because they won't make it out alive.
Something like this, but same cell.
Yet somehow, despite everything, Henry is still worrying about Hans.
The guards then take them one by one to the interrogation room. Henry is the last one.
I posted the story draft on tweet, In case I want to draw them, but here is the summary if you want to read

So... After Finger of God. When they got to Trosky, the guards beat them and disarmed them from their armor. They took everything and left them without a single strand.
Zizka got the first beating because the Trosky guards took their anger over their dead comrades out on him, Henry and Godwin watched helplessly before the guards pulled them too and beat them.
Godwin got a rough beating before they stopped as they realize he was a priest. They quickly threw him into the cell.
Henry got the beating as they called him traitor for betraying Von Bergow. He got it worse than Godwin, but not as bad as Zizka.
Then they threw them into a cell. Godwin first, then Henry. Zizka last.
Zizka got the worst beating between them. He was so badly beaten he can barely move. Henry slumped against the wall, bruised and exhausted.
"What now?" Godwin asked
"They'll ask questions." Zizka answered, "...and if we're lucky, they'll give us a quick death."
"Hans... where they take Hans?" Henry muttered. I need to save him..."
"Lad, you're still thinking others...". Zizka snorted. "You can't even save yourself."
"Captain's right". Godwin snorted. "Don't worry about him. Hans is the luckiest of us."
"The lad's valuable. He's noble. " Zizka added. "Unlike us, Von Bergow will look after him like his new pet."
Henry hated Zizka's word of choices, but he's too weak to argue.
Cell door swung open.
Trosky guards.
They grabbed Zizka's feet and dragged him out. Zizka clawed uselessly on the floor.
"Don't tell them anything." Zizka forced his voice out, hoarse, in agony.
Henry lunged to stop, only to catch blow that sent him crashing against the wall. His head bled. Godwin approach him. Comfort him.
"Wait for your turn, mutt!" one guard snarled "You're next."
The door slams shut.
Total darkness.
Henry panted for breath, eyes half lit, exhausted. Dizzy. Starving.
He glanced to Godwin.
"You're right, Father." he said. "Hans really is the lucky one."
There is no help more, it's impossible to get out of this place alive.
Waiting is the worst part.
But then...
The door opened.
Trosky guards came in and dragged Godwin out. Henry was fallen asleep and realized from the ruckus, tried to reach for him, but too late.
Door closed.
Darkness. Alone. Despair.
But even in this situation, he'd rather take his chance to make escape and fight back than waiting for his own demise.
He tried to gather his stamina and energy.
"God grant me strength.
After awhile, Trosky guarded open the door.
They met with Henry charged at them, one of them fell to ground, another one tried to get him but Henry able to slip past him.
Yet the third one quick enough, he was able to tackle Henry to the ground.
Henry down on the floor and struggled until the fourth one came and land a kick on his face.
The pain drains his strength.
"Well, look who the runner is."
Through half-lit eyes, Henry saw Erik kneeling before him.
"We really should stop meeting as each other captive"
Henry furious but too weak to response.
They dragged Henry back to his cell, start beating him and curses.
Erik only watched.
"You betrayed Lord Von Bergow!"
"Traitor!"
"He's one of that bandit's men!"
"You had the lord's trust! You know how many men killed because of you?"
After a while, Erik stoped them.
"Enough" Erik loudly said . "Easy now. Sir Istvan wants to question him"
The guards stopped.
Henry lied on the ground, beaten. Exhausted.
He breath with uneven rhythm, accompanied by a quiet grunt.
"He is right"
Istvan shows up from the hallway. Henry rise his sight, hatred fuel adrenaline rush.
"My God, they did quite a number to you, and we haven't even start yet!"
For one brief moment, Henry forgot his exhaustion and lunged forward. The guards surprised.
But Erik quick enough to grab Henry left arm, and slammed him down. One of the guards grabbed his right hand and his hair, then drove his skull into floor.
Henry stopped struggling. His tenses body then slump.
Then second one coming.
After the second one, even adrenaline could not hold back the pain. His vision went black. His head throbbed in agony. His scream went silent, turn into a gasping breath.
Whatever fuel him was gone.
Henry pinned down, half conscious. He grunted as they forced him to get up and kneel.
A hands reach his cheek and force his head up.
Even the smallest movement cause a massive headache Henry groaned, could barely open his eyes Istvan smiling.

hello kingdom come deliverance fandom. I still have no idea how to make video game gifs so I bring you my speciality instead; gifs of The Actor in a slightly obscure role from their earlier career where we can all pretend its The Character in an au. Helped by the fact that this is a medieval setting and his character has a romantic connection he can't pursue because of an arranged political marriage so he diverts his devotion into looking after his love's child (who just so happens to be called Henry.)

Please draw Hans defending Henry, similar to how Henry was ready to die protecting Hans in KCD2 when Zizka first appeared. I know in my heart Hans is ready and itching to do the same.

Like Godwin, there are few different mechanics between Henry and Hans:
Henry’s levels and stats will NOT carry over to Hans, and vice versa. Hans has his own separate progression system, providing an additional challenge during the DLC.
Henry's Combat skills and combos are also separate. All Henry's learned combos, Master Strikes, and weapon levels will not transfer to Hans.
Hans must learn combat techniques himself from various teachers, such as: Dry Devil, Jan Zizka, Kubyenka, Black Bartosch, etc
Hans can only specialize in: Longsword, Shortsword, Unarmed Combat, Bow
Samuel and Katherine has their own stats and level. But some Hans ability will be shared to Samuel and Katherine
Hans’ dialogue stats are locked. Like Godwin sequences in main game
The following stats are disabled during the DLC: Persuasion, Coercion, Impression, Domination, Presence, Intimidation Instead, a new (or old but renewed) mechanic is introduced: Persistence
Persistence tracks: How many times Hans asks the same person about something Repeated visits Repeated actions over multiple days
Many Main and Side Quest progressions depend on Persistence and the passage of time. More of this later.
The standard criminal punishment system is disabled during this DLC. You can't harm or kill random NPC (like you can't kill Hans or Zizka in main game)
If Hans, Samuel, or Katherine are caught during stealing, sneaking or stealth sessions, the game over will immediately occur since their identity will be exposed from public punishment (mission failed)
