As for who runs this place...

Hi! You can call me mod Kit, and you can use any pronouns for me! I'm a former TADC fan and current-until-further-notice KOG fan, but recently I found out about their parent studio's long-running racism (antiblackness especially, but it's broadened as of late).

I am a black genderqueer system. We'll be presenting as singlet-adjacent for the sake of being anonymous, but know that there are technically multiple people behind this blog and the writing style may shift from post to post.

This entire video alone should show how little both of the glitch CEOs care about anti-black racism. Luke directed it while Kevin wrote it, both grown men at the time in 2020. In my eyes, there is no benefit of the doubt for that TADC merch promo with the police batons. They'll vaguely call out plainrock for what he did while not addressing this video and the other times in the 2020s they made other n word jokes. I don't want to have to dig through hours of SMG4 videos to find the other times, but I hope someone seeing this knows the other videos this is done in.

I just discovered that the official website for TADC movie has used wix in order to make a website by right-clicking and opening the image, I've noticed that the images were hosted on static.wixstatic.com, as well as when I went to inspect mode, it was clear to me that they obviously used Wix to build the layout and stuff like that.

wix is an israeli company that supports zionism and AI btw

I'm sure that glitch didn't do background check of what this site they used for, of which now that I think about it, wasn't there like the controversy thing with deviantart (which is owned by wix nowadays) due to zionism?

I would think that for the creative company, they would at least be somewhat aware of its controversy

Hello, pardon me, I just have some questions about Gooseworx for you if you don't mind. Do you think there's any sort of issue or contention with calling her out? With the constant issue of transmisogyny on this site there is a concern that transmisogynist will take that as justification to be transmisogynistic to Goose? Goose's racism and misogyny should be called out. But many transfems on this site have spoken about how callout culture is just used as a transmisogynistic tactic to harass transfems. How do you think calling out Goose for her actions can be carried out, without giving validity to transmisogynistic beliefs and actions?

I hope my questions make sense.

I think calling out creeps is important regardless of gender (or marginalized status in general). Goose's behavior shouldn't have to be handled with kiddie gloves just because she's a trans woman.

Transmisogynists will flock to this the way racists flock to black people being accused the way queerphobes flock to queer people being accused and so on. It sucks, and I wish this wasn't the case, but that doesn't mean that shooing them away should be prioritized over getting news like this out in the open.

I don't mean to compare these two in severity, but as an example: people are racist about Diddy having been arrested. People use this and certain other rappers' sexual violence as an excuse to paint all black men as potential rapists. This is obviously a bad thing, but that doesn't mean Sean wasn't a serial rapist.

Similarly, transmisogynists doing what they always do about trans women who suck doesn't mean Goose didn't act inappropriately towards Adam.

Since the Korean company suffered financially because of Glitch pulling out of the deal unprompted and for no good reason, doesn’t that mean Glitch scammed them(even if unintentionally)? This feels like scamming, but I’m not 100% sure.

I guess it technically does, yeah. Iirc tickets were able to be preordered WAYYYYY in advance so the audience was scammed too unless they were immediately refunded (if they were then correct me, I can't remember if that was mention when everything came out)

I’m seeing some ppl hype up Gameoverse over KoG because it got more views in much shorter time and like. Well. I may sound like a salty fan but tbh.

I think the thing is that Gameoverse is a safer show. It’s easily digestible, accessible. It’s got colorful marketable designs that are designed to be conventionally appealing. It’s a simpler “playing with your toys” story about antics and adventure.

KoG is less of a fandom story if that makes sense. It sets itself up as more serious with themes and arcs and being morally nuanced. Our protagonists are down to earth humans with physical imperfections and people found that very refreshing. Our heroes are introduced as being morally mediocre but well-meaning. It’s a slower, quieter pilot that sets up their dynamics and motivations and struggles.

It’s something that stood out to me when KoG first aired, it’s that it feels like less of a show designed to have a fandom or merch about it. But that also makes it kinda refreshing compared to its contemporaries where it’s far less of an Incorrect Quotes type of story and more something that could be an actual book.

So yeah Gameoverse is more popular but I don’t think that actually necessarily makes it better. Not when KoG is already more feminist by a huge margin. KoG feels more like a story meant for a niche audience that can really appreciate it and that tracks with Dana’s ramblings about David Lynch and letting the viewer be able to interpret things.

KoG just feels more mature and so while it’s not as popular it almost feels like a quality over quantity situation when it comes to fan reception because I’m not sure what particular in-depth analysis of themes you could go for with Gameoverse.
