Valentina Kerman got it into her head to cram herself and two other Kerbals into a little metal ball, strap it to the top of a rocket, and see if she could hit 300 kilometers and return without anyone dying. The truly impressive part was that she convinced Bob to join the flight.

I have a lot of creative projects all over the place at any given time and it is admittedly difficult at times to complete one project because another project beckons. All the same, if I can I'd really rather create a video a month, and if possible, put in enough time so it looks fairly decent. For this video, I created a simple rocket using Squad parts (stock + Making History) and tested it repeatedly to fine-tune an optimum launch angle of 4° East. This would assure a 300-kilometer altitude and a splashdown just North of the Runway Islands. I then turned on SAS, set up either the stock camera, Camera Tools, or KerbCam in turn, started recording, and pressed spacebar. Aside from occasional adjustments to the cameras and staging once, I sat back and recorded. Again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. Dozens of gigabytes of video footage recorded over roughly six hours went into this five and a half minute video. And then I had to get fancy with the editing. Still, I think this is one of my finer efforts to date, and I sincerely hope you enjoyed it.

Is it just me, or is Danny2462 actually trying to play KSP more or less as intended?

I've always wanted to attempt a Grand Tour. And I've been itching to try Roverdude's Nuclear Rockets mod, with its Medusa nuclear pulse sail. I also had SpaceY Heavy Lifter Parts, to lift whatever behemoth I create. But when the Kerbodyne Plus mod came out, with its 7.5-meter parts, that sealed the deal.

So I created the Zephyrus Mk I and sent it forth.

Admittedly I wound up falling back on Hohmann and Oberth, and not taking full advantage of the ridiculous potential delta-V of this craft to fly faster. The trip took 39 years to fly by, in order: the Mun, Dres (because of transfer windows), Eve, Moho, Duna, Ike, Jool, Pol, Bop, Tylo, Vall, Laythe, and Eeloo. The longest and most treacherous part of the trip was to Eeloo as I was going 100% solar. I'll use reactors next time....

i’m doing art commissions! i could do with some extra spending money for christmas gifts n stuff! so i’m gonna sell my art to you guys

as the post says, the price varies depending on the complexity of the image but nothing is set in stone, the prices listed are guesstimates as i charge £7 for every hour that i spend on the artwork. i’ll discuss the prices with you in more detail if you email me!

oh yeah here are some guidelines and stuff:

i’m absolutely awful at drawing super-detailed backgrounds or landscapes in general so if you want a landscape i wouldn’t ask me for one. i do excel in portraits however!

nothing nfsw pls….. my art style isnt sexy, c’mon

i can’t paint things that aren’t portraits, that’s out of my league atm….i’m workin’ on it though! i just don’t think i’m good enough to charge ppl money for that kinda thing yet. plus i like my cel-shaded cartoony style a lot more!

This was inspired by Jatwaa's recent livestream, in which he built a glider powered with BD Armory guns.

To each their own; I decided it was more Kerbal to use a SRB to launch the glider.

It certainly is more soothing to the spirit, once the SRB stops belching flame.

My KSP posts to Google Collections

I know I haven’t been posting a lot here, but I haven’t exactly been blowing off KSP either. In fact I currently have a Science game called “MOAR SCIENCE, HI!”* that I’ve been documenting on Google+, complete with little stories about the astronauts and KSC staff in this game.
