Baby familiar’s first day on the job
some beautiful old botanical illustrations from a gardening book I own ❀
Working with deities is always full of surprises.
I started working with Brigid in 2010/11, and she feels very ‘motherly’ to me (I think this is to do with the healing aspects of her, as I didn’t have a very good relationship with my mother).
In 2017, I was sitting outside admiring the stars in the night sky and BAM - the face of a man with blue eyes, long black hair, and pale skin filled my mind’s eye. I’d always associated the moon as something female, so it was very strange to have a male presence introduce itself. After some research, I settled on acknowledging this vision as Mani.
This year I have been trying to mediate more and started trying out astral projection. I’m not very good at it, but I have always done a lot of lucid dreaming (I’d say I have more lucid dreams than dream-dreams). One night, I was doing an exploration and came across a woman with a big ol’ pointy crown who looked surprised to see me. I did some research and decided this was Hecate, even though I was very reluctant to go into the Greek pantheon because I don’t have genetic ancestry to the Greek people, and I’m conscious of avoiding ‘collecting’ deities.
Anyway, I was doing some BLM work for the full moon and I thought I’d ask Mani, Brigid, and Hecate for their consent to use them in my work. Mani is more of my ‘spirit friend’, so didn’t really mind if he was included; Hecate was all up for it; and Brigid didn’t want to be involved because she didn’t think it would make a difference. I used my pendulum, intuition, and lunar oracle cards to interpret this. Brigid said she would be OK working on my self-healing, shadow work, and creative writing.
Didn’t expect that from her, but now it explains why so many bees died after I forced her to help me with a spell I did a few nights before for the same BLM reasons.
Sorry I am gonna keep yelling about this cause I am worried with how many witches want to channel this eclipse’s energy towards the BLM’s movements way.
I feel like most things are done with good intentions, but like blackout tuesday, so many people wanted to post a black square in solidarity with BLM but instead ended up silencing their platform by overflooding their tag with black squares. I don’t want something like that to happen with this energy on a worse scale.
The eclipse is not powerful in a way like a supermoon, it’s a force of undoing. Think of it like the tower card. You should focus eclipse energy on the police force, or on trump’s administration to undo their structures of power. Please do not send that energy towards BLM. Instead try to use it to break down the barriers around them to allow them to advance. The Eclipse energy is not good for protection spells. It’s perfect for destruction though.
Please let other witches know

Herbs you can grow indoors.
Made this list for my fellow witchies who like their kitchen to be full of the green stuff :
Basil : like lots of sun and warmth. More difficult to grow in the winter months
Bay : needs plenty of sun and fresh air.
Chives : needs at least 6 hours of sun and plenty of water.
Dill : prefers slightly acidic soil, needs plenty of sunlight, doesn’t need too much water.
Lemongrass : My personal favorite as you don’t plant it in soil. Grow in a couple of inches of water. Easiest to grow.
Mint : needs plenty of water and needs to be placed in an area with indirect light. Harvest frequently.
Oregano : does not deal well with cold and drastic temperature changes could kill it.
Parsley : Doesn’t require too much light or maintenance, but is a slow grower.
Rosemary : needs 6 - 8 hours of strong, direct sunlight. Only water when the top layer of soil feels dry. Needs good ventilation. A bit trickier to grow.
Sage : Needs plenty of sun.
Thyme : Needs 6 - 8 hours of sunlight a day and maybe even supplemental light.
If my bones aren’t turned into a flute by some woodland fairy after I die then WHAT WAS THE POINT

Who is she?
Where’s her Vogue spread?
What’s even more impressive is that he knew to use the men’s room.
