âIâm afraid the sunlight has come back.â ~glitteringagency
Emerald hues narrowed a little towards the man now with Shadow, alike her. However for other reasons.
âAfraid? Really? Whatâs so bad about the sunlight anyway? That it gives live to things?â
Her tone apparent that sheâs annoyed in some sense but why wouldnât she? She tried to stop the Device and now here they are with a wall of water around the island.
âAnd youâre going to point out that I failed?â
Or did she really fail? Things just seem... confusing right now. The fact that heâs in a black suit now instead of white. It doesnât settle right with her. Glaring more as he stepped closer to her, causing her to take a step back.
Well he did point it out... in a way.
âYouâre really going to ask me that? I have to deal with your mess!â
Midas wouldnât admit it, but heâs just as lost and directionless as he assumed the other might be. But he could be wrong.
âYes, I am. We both failed. Didnât we?â
He still couldnât help but hold back a smirk, watching her step back,
âYou really should be thanking me. Iâve made you indispensable to this... group.â He motioned to his darker outfit.
âThanking you?!â
The mere idea disgusted her. Sheâd thank him over her dead body. Well now she really didnât mean anything to Shadow. However Chaos Agent has perked an interest in her. Envoy is unsure why... though it could possibly be linked to why Midas is Shadow now.
âI highly doubt that... Iâm just as useful doing what I did before, paperwork.â
He frowned, clasping his hands behind his back. Midas takes another step toward her, slowly, less menacingly.
âYouâre incredibly bright, Envoy. I highly doubt that all they have you for is doing paperwork... Why would Chaos have you doing simple paperwork, signing and filing? He has to know your skill set. Your past.â
He emphasized his last point. Thatâs what had brought him to Shadow. It was all in an interest to learn what Chaos wanted, and how he could come out on top of all this.
