Glitterlust

Glitterlust is an interactive "disco-punk" band from DC, formed in 2011. Our sound is a juxtaposition of 80's new wave/synth-pop with a modern dose of power chords and 4-on-the-floor beats. Our live shows are colorful and outrageous parties with glowing costumes, confetti cannons, burlesque dancers, stripping furries, S&M beatings and more! You're guaranteed to sweat, dance and get covered in glitter!

Day # 57

[Today I found out about glitterlustdc. This band has a buddy of mine in it, a new found buddy actually. I n, but this also is pretty fun and may be something that I listen to while reading, crocheting, anything. My day was just full of relaxing, and unwinding.]

The beat flowed through her headphones isolating her from the rest of the world.It was her own symphony, her own classical track that she could listen to, floating through life. It was nice, soft, gentle, then the steady pace as it breached a crescendo, screaming to be heard by all. Then the bass dropped, and came back with a vengeance. The measures came out faster, a bit more hurried, ready to make people move and groove to the beat accompanied by flashing strobe lights. Then the bubbly undertones, as a female bubblegum voice accompanied the popping beat. The twang of a guitar joined in as the singer’s voice became more rustic. Then a heavier guitar and the addition of drums joined into the singer’s voice. The guitar’s metallic undertones shone through as the singer’s voice turned into growls and angry singing until finally it it cut through the guitar, silencing it. The only thing that was left was the beat of the singer’s voice rhyming in sync with the waves of the beats until the piano shone through again. The beats per measure slowed, going from fortissimo to pianissimo. The beat returned back to its classical undertones, and the girl continued her journey through the sheet.
