First outbreak is over yay! Now I’m dealing with the what I believe to be hemorrhoids. I definitely have an anal fissure (tmi, I know, I’m sorry) Anyone else have this issue? Is it a result of the hsv or medication maybe? My bf and I had sex (unprotected) for the first time since I was diagnosed as well. It went well lol. He really doesn’t seem to care that he could catch it without the use of condoms (if he doesn’t already have it). In general though, besides the pain when I poop (haha) I’m feeling pretty good.

I was told (based on visual appearance of my outbreak) that I had herpes, one week and one day ago. I've been on meds since and my first break out is practically gone. I went to the clinic today just to get checked out, and was told that they never even submitted my testing for herpes when theyvl visually diagnosed me!!!! What the shit is that??? I was also told that if I am hsv positive, which they think I am regardless, they think I have type 1 (even though I got it down below), and they think I'll probably not see another outbreak any time soon, if ever. But the kicker is to find out if I am actually type 1 or type 2, I have to undergo a very expensive blood test, that I currently can't afford. Yay. 😔

Saw this whisper article about people living with STI's. 90% of them were about herpes. I read this comment underneath and just got so angry. My first public defense. Most of the time, the people who were warning you that your partner was bad for you: are doing so because they care about you, and they can see how badly the other person is ruining you and your life.
