Its a collection of music and art that contribute to a project that mostly exists in my head okay bye haha!

“What is globetrotter?”

Globetrotter is a hypothetical maybe happening rpg that currently is having its story told through art, music, and possibly writing or a few comics in the future. It follows three silly little guys that I designed (and have been iterating on because I'm kinda inconsistent) for years now, named Ceridwen, Riice, and Mollam! If you didn’t notice, the first two have misspelled welsh names. What's the significance of them being welsh? There is none! For now! That's the nature of this whole project, really. A lot of the time things exist to be cool, though by the time they leave my head they’ve usually formed enough connective tissue to be a part of a wider story. I had the main protagonists, I had the main antagonists, and I had the themes I wanted to use…then bam! Three cursed individuals trying to defeat a group of time demons to release themselves from being born anew for eternity! Funny how that works!

Ceridwen and Riice are both coworkers at…!! Well honestly I haven’t deliberated on that fact much, but hey, the fact of the matter is they do science 👍👍. Work’s been a little harder after one of their labs got attacked though. Poor thangs. Wonder who did that.

In a world of demons and humans and angels sometimes, how would you categorize a man with a head made of teeth? Perhaps the best description is “cowboy”. Mollam’s the third party member of this trio, but he isn’t exactly enthusiastic about joining them. Strange premonitions are driving Mollam away from Ceridwen and Riice. Poor thangs. Wonder why that is.

“What do these guys look like!!” I hear you ask…and my answer?!?!

I don’t have reference sheets yet. oops. I’ll do it. 👍. I will also say that I didn’t cover their personalities in detail much, but applications speak louder than descriptions! I’ll start writing eventually and in that same vein i’ll start drawing eventually et cetera et cetera…!

“Why is globetrotter?”

Well, to be perfectly honest, to get right to the point, to be quick, to make things simple, in my experience, in the end, it all boils down to the fact that it's fun! It's fun and it’s good practice and I enjoy this world in my head and want to share it with people! plain and simple. im honestly not sure if this section even needed to be here tbh like yeah i like thing im making it i think thats how most things are made.

Seeing as I’ve approached this project across years and grown so much alongside it, it’ll take a bit for some concrete stuff to show up. I’ll do my best to even things out!

The Grand Music Masterpost: Act 2

The following day, the pair's boss informs them of a new task they've been assigned. Their company has been looking to build a new branch in the dunes outside the city, and they need the two to check it out! Ceridwen and Riice aren't exactly used to fighting, but hey, money's money.

this song is sooo old, but I think it still holds up today. I really like some of the instruments, but I kinda lost the file sooo yeah. This is the area theme! There are a few outposts spread about with bandits and vicious creatures all around.

I tried making a new thumbnail pretty recently, but I never replaced it. Landscapes are fun to draw! well if you can call it that idk

BAM!! BATTLE THEME!! I literally just uploaded this today. let me just copy the description from soundcloud.

This is the normal battle theme for the first half of the game! I'm still working on the other one at the moment.

The plan was to make this the less energetic version, so I had to hold back and try some instruments I don't usually use. It went pretty well!

The second half version was actually what I came up with first. I mean, I've had some of the melodies in this song in my head for like, a YEAR.

This one kind of irks me, the mixing is kinda bad in some places

Almost at the spot they were told to survey, Riice and Ceridwen find themselves in a small town full of rough looking individuals. They aren't exactly accepted at first, but perhaps they can find a way to change people's attitudes. They have caught the ire of a certain sheriff, however...

I've already made a post for this so I'll keep it brief. Mollam, the sheriff, has been put off by Ceridwen and Riice again and again throughout their stay. All of this distrust eventually leads up to a boiling point, where Mollam seeks to forcibly remove the two from his town.

there were some other songs that take place during this act, but they're kinda so old that i didnt want to include them (also tumblr is being stupid and isnt letting me search for them with the god forsaken music button) so, uh, check my soundcloud ig

The Grand Music Masterpost: Act 1

The first part of globetrotter doesn't have too much at the moment, mostly just establishing setting and the such. putting this stuff on tumblr has kinda made me realize that it can be confusing to just. have songs. for events. without like. context. thats why i need to upload more comics and stuff! i shall try my best. tangent over, bring on the music and the likes.

A song I basically made in a night out of boredom. it's basically temporary, as I feel it doesn't accurately represent Ceridwen and Riice's workplace well enough. For the true version I'd want to make something a lot slower. Also, I sketched a thumbnail some time ago but never really used it.

on this fateful day, the pair encounters...conflict!

(If you don't know what pass on melodies are, they're songs that @marismoments39 and I pass it over to eachother every few bars.)

I didn't tell moon that it was for anything initially, but when I passed it on she had this to say:

Before I decided on "waxing in progress..." the original title was "Rite Of Passage". Once each time loop, one or all of the members of the main globetrottin trio (mollam, riice, ceridwen) get to have a talk with themselves from the last loop.
