I miss you, Mom. I have exhausted the topic of grief, and over the past five years of the aching absence, I am learning to see death as a sobering reality, not a morbid ending. And even if there are many more moments to come of the nauseating pain that she is not here with me, at least I know that her last breath was dictated by God, who is good and perfect. He has a big, big Home, where my beautiful mom is dwelling. And one day, when He sees fit, it’ll be my turn too.
