Words Are My Soul

do you know how hard it is? 

to have so many words swarming inside your head, and not enough time or courage to say them all?

it is hard to find the right people, that by just saying a few of the words pounding

and pounding

and pounding 

inside your head,

you feel better

because you know they understand you, and even if they don't, they accept you

people talk about heartbreak a lot

but I don’t think they realize heartbreak can come from people we know so well

the ache that spreads through your chest when someone mocks how much you talk

the sharp pain to your gut when they stop listening altogether

and finally, the numbness that spreads through your entire body when you finally are used to it all

that is heartbreak. to love something so much and then watch as people you hold dear tear it to shreds.

I hate that I don’t try hard at school anymore. Like, I’m just tired of trying and I hate it. I want to be excited to learn and experience new things but I just can’t. 

I’m not enjoying it as much as I used to, and I know school is important and I totally agree but I can’t bring myself to do anything.

I love it when you’re casually eating some food and drinking that one good cup of coffee you’ve made today when you’re parents start going at it right in front of you. 

so you just casually reach for your earphones and blast your hard rock music just so you don’t have to hear whatever bullshit their sprouting now

and you know its bad when all the kids collectively put in their earphones and don’t acknowledge that your family is falling apart right in front of you

it’s even worse when your dog gets diagnosed with anxiety because of all the fighting

My brother asked for a tampon

so I have a few friends over and my brother just came in all awkward and asked for some tampons for his girlfriend. he turns 25 this year btw, so I was like “yea sure I’ll grab one” and I got two and I gave it to him 

thing is it's a self applicator so it's massive and his face sort of slackens and he looks horrified and he goes “what the fuck, why is it so big” 

SO I START WHEEZING BC HIS FACE IS PRICELESS AND I’M LIKE
