It was a mistake. I didn’t hate her. I wasn’t disgusted with her. I was afraid. At that moment, I felt small, like… like I’d lacked experience, like I’d never be on her level, like I’d never be enough for her or something like that, you know what I’m saying? But, what I did not get, she didn’t care. She wasn’t looking for that guy anymore. She was… she was looking for me, for the Bob. But, uh, by the time I figure this all out, it was too late, man. She moved on, and all I had to show for it was some foolish pride, which then gave way to regret. She was the girl, I know that now. But I pushed her away. So, I’ve spent every day since then chasing Amy… so to speak.

Do you think that being in a relationship in your 20s - early 30s can prevent you from achieving goals in your career path sooner? Or do you think it's not a huge factor that affects growth in ones career?

Depends on how the relationship effects you and your partners growth. I have seen relationships where it is an amazing dynamic, each person motivating and uplifting the other to follow their dream. To do what they love, simply believing in them.

Then I have seen other relationships where that support isn’t evident which in turn sometimes makes one sacrifice their passion for the relationship.

When it comes down to it, you gotta follow your heart and sometimes it can lead you in two different directions. One is the love for what makes you happy and the love for who makes you happy.

Just gotta stay clear headed and figure out what makes sense for you. Regardless all experiences in life help you grow.
