I think it’s sad that they exist in America and that the government isn’t doing more to fix the problem. For too long these people have been forced out of communities where they could actually get some help to become normal members of society again. I’ve even heard that people occasionally choose this lifestyle for themselves, but I think if you asked most of them if they’d rather be in normal families surrounded by people who love them or living under bridges and in boxcars huddled around oil drum fires, they would take the former 99% of the time. Transience is not a sustainable lifestyle.
