Il carnevale di Venezia 2026 (marcovalmarana on ig)
it's a la sonnambula sort of evening (callas 1957, of course) and a maple old-fashioned. the weather has been so dreary this past week but tonight feels especially gloomy for some reason, the wet leaves crumpled haphazardly on the cobblestones, the glow of the lamplight outside the shops diffused by the constant drizzle. it's the ideal type of evening for a haunting, accompanied by the lilt of la callas, scent of santal hovering in the air like a timid church prayer, and the occasional pop of embers in the fireplace.
