While I’m okay with people interpreting characters differently, hell I love different interpretations, Frisk is not she, Frisk is not he, Frisk is THEM, and I am kind of sick of people misgendering them and going against their gender identity with rp blogs and no tags to show that it’s going against canon and thereby ignoring who and what Frisk is. Those of you that are rping Frisk as a different gender and a tag to show it? Thank you. Seriously. Thank you. Go you! They/Them IS NOT nonbinary specific. It is NEUTRAL. It has never been non-binary specific. It is used for everyone. People use they/them when they’re not sure what you wish to be called. Frisk’s gender is ambiguous. Toby made it that way so Frisk can be any gender people wanted. It is up to the player’s discretion. Erasure requires something to exist in the first place. If it doesn’t exist, it is not erasure. Frisk can be a girl or a boy or whatever you want them to be.

They were designed the way they were so THE PLAYERS could decide what they’re like. Nobody has to conform to your god damn headcanons, people.

Wow. I NEVER SAID that anyone can’t headcanon Frisk as anything! I wasn’t bashing ANY artists! I simply said that it would be nice if some people didn’t automatically change Frisk’s pronouns to he or she when they’re a they, regardless of physical sex. Which, yeah, okay, that’s dumb, but I’ve got a fetish for staying true to canonical sources. Clearly I’ve been schooled on that though, because saying that is a big no no without clear and properly mentioned. Which, by the way, nobody needed to follow that. I was mentioning a personal preference-- again, dumb.

Yes, I did get off topic and made it sound like I was trying to push NB, which was a mistake and unintentional, and without explaining it I did strongly allude to my own discomfort when people try to tell me in private messages and such that I’m wrong and that Frisk HAS TO BE male or female and how I’m really unhappy about it both because people are forcing their headcanons on me, as well as erasing the only real nonbinary etc representation that I can headcanon in a game, but I never said that they HAVE to be NB, or anything else. No, I didn’t. I didn’t say anything of the sort. I’m not ignorant of these things. Please show me what you think you mean by that, and I can tell you what I meant by it if something was awkwardly worded.

PS. I’m not non-binary and I use they-them pronouns pretty often, and prefer it to she. So that’s… a really dumb assumption tbh. If things don’t seem to have made much sense, I’ll make a new post explaining what I meant and why I made it.

Edit: If you’re saying that it’s unfair that I’m saying Frisk is NB or some other gender than male or female? It’s because cisgendered people don’t use they naturally, I’ve seen it firsthand. No cisgendered person I’ve ever met has requested me to use different pronouns, and neither did I back when I was trying to fit in with cisgendered people. Additionally, NB and other identities have literally no representation, so to be honest, it makes me uncomfortable when the majority try to push binary labels onto a character that has absolutely no canon evidence for them being anything but NB etc.
