GUIDELINES.

01. i like to keep a low follower count, so i will not follow everyone back. if i softblock or block you, feel free to ask me why, as long as you’re ready for the answer. i am incredibly sporadic activity. i have a lot of other blogs that fluctuate between hyper fixations. do not follow me if you’re under 21.

02. drama is a no from me. let me know if you believe i’m interacting with an actually harmful person and i’ll consider what my next steps are. don’t follow me if you write/support billy hargrove, tate langdon, or nate jacobs ( including multis ). do not follow me if you write 13rw muses, teen wolf, the 100, stranger things, game of thrones / all spinoffs, or vampire diaries/all spinoffs muses (excluding multis). no gross behavior with minor muses, either, thanks. i also won’t follow you if your pages are too hard to read ( ie. extremely small font, light text on dark background, etc. ). it’s not hard to make your rules accessible for others.

03. shipping is open, however the main ship on this blog is hob / rue ( of which i do not have a main partner for yet, so if you're interested... ). k.p. is a hobgoblin, most likely over a hundred years old, if not way over that, so just be aware of the age difference, if we discuss a ship.

04. y’all call me ash. i’m well over 21, i’ve been writing in the rpc since 2014. i have too many blogs. i work full time and so my writing can be up and down. i appreciate any and all patience given. icon border is by villainsrph.

THINGS TO KNOW.

k.p. stands for knickolas pnackleless. i cannot make this up.

he is a member ( now previous member ) of the goblin court, one of the many courts of the fey, ordered to look at viscountess grabalba.

towards the beginning of the bloom ( the biggest fey event of the season, where people find love, gossip, and much more ), hob is particularly uptight, and has an obligation to his court. he is honor bound to the goblin king, and does anything he can to be of service to his court.

he does not think of himself ever, does not follow his heart as he tries to do whatever he can for others, often putting his own feelings aside. he has a low self esteem and is self deprecating quite often. he is a terrible liar, and thus speaks plainly and bluntly most times.

for a description, he's much taller than an average goblin, standing at seven feet. he has a canine or lion like face and a wide, toothy mouth ( two fangs stick out ). he has big, furry ears that swivel as he is alert and listening. his legs are digitigrade, meaning they bend closer to a cougar's legs, and a deer tail in the back. his arms are incredibly long, as well, and his fingers have sharp claws at the end. clothes wise, he's always wearing a traditional military uniform, complete with all of his metals of battle and courage he's collected over his years of service, but only on top - he does not wear pants.

tl;dr: he's part of a story that's just bridgerton with fairies.

HE CAN TELL THAT KP REMAINS TENSE , clinging to it like a life preserver in an open sea . it pains him . it's not something sebastian likes to witness or subject people to — he hates that his presence and his title make people worry about their actions . they closely monitor their reactions as if he'll disapprove and send them to the stocks , as if he'll be angry , offended , AS RUTHLESS AS HIS FATHER IS . sebastian longs to remove that barrier . he aches to see kp be . . . himself . they've only just met , and yet sebastian senses there's so much more to the goblin than he lets on . dreams , hopes , possibilities , things he'd never share with the prince unless prompted . sebastian sheds his tight shoulders , his strong stature , his polished pose , and relaxes . he smiles at kp . warms to him . ❝ please call me sebastian . ❞ for so much of his life , he's had to play the part of the royal son — it would be nice to have a friend in the castle who knows him authentically . HE'S TRYING TO BE REAL , TRUE . . . HIMSELF . ❝ i have spent so much of my life concerned about what others think of me , and frankly ? i'm tired of it . ❞ his grin grows mischievous . ❝ let them judge . i'd like to be your friend , dammit . ❞ his expression , light and friendly , conveys his joking nature now . ❝ there's nothing wrong with who you are . in fact , i'm certain you'll teach me so much more about the world than you realize . ❞ sebastian gives kp's arm a gentle , friendly pat . ❝ you don't have to be so rigid in your stance , my friend . part of knickolas can't help but to think this is some sort of trap. that the prince is luring him into relaxing himself and his speech so that he could tell the king, the counsel, and even the goblin court that kp isn't the stoic and honorable man he so claims to be. this forethought than leads to guilt in thinking such things. the prince, so far, has shown the goblin nothing but kindness. it is more than plausible that someone in a situaiton such as sebastian - royalty, with very strict boundaries and rules set out for him - simply wanted someone who saw him, not just as a prince, but as a man. as a human being. hob still might not understand why he was chosen to be this support for the prince, but he intended to give the other what he wanted, regardless. and a friend would be nice, as long as kp could eventually understand how to be one, and how to have one in return.

' very well, sebastian, ' voice is hesitant. even now, the guard feels as if he's overstepping his bounds, but surly no one would fault or question him for following the prince's instructions. even in such an unbecoming manner. his shoulders drop only a fraction, the beast trying to unfurrow his brow and accomodate sebastian's wish for him to calm himself, though hob knew that he has never truly relaxed a day in his life. this was, if nothing else, progress. the rest would take some time. ' rigidity is really all i know, so until i am able to allow myself to slacken my stance, i apologize in advance for austerity, ' kp begins to walk again as sebastian does, taking great care to loosen his steps, looking awkward, as if he just learned how to use his legs. at the mention of his court - his favorite topic of conversation - his ears perk and swivel a bit. OUR MUSES PLAY A CARD GAME TOGETHER. he's letting her win, but he doesn't mean to. hob's sense of duty carries far beyond what he's done and has to do on the battlefield. in his paws, he holds plenty of options, cards that he could lie down to garner points, but he just keeps drawing them, instead. when percy lays out her own hand on the table, showing several matching suits, the captin gives a huff of defeat. ' well matched, your highness. that is your third win in a row, ' knickolas gives a hardy chuckle before placing his own cards down, faces to the table so that she wouldn't see that hob had been holding back. ( BINX CHOPPLEY ): YOU'RE NOT ALONE. NOT ANYMORE. where there was once a time when knickolas would not believe such a thing, now he knew binx's words to be true. through the fey's bloom, an event which he had stuck out in in every way possible, the once captain found, not only friends, but a family. something new and surprising. binx and the new members of the court of craft saw him for who he really is - not just a blunt instrument, used for war, but a being worthy of kindness and love. hob feels his eyes begin to water. instincts tell him to quickly brush them away, hide emotions that well, but the new him allows them to fall into his fur. there is no hiding, anymore. ( SADIE BENNETT ): READ. YOUR MUSE READING TO MINE. the goblins of his court often made fun of knickolas for enjoying the act of reading. for collecting books and wanting to educate himself on many different topics. this meant that he didn't get to do it as much as he'd like, often sneaking around by night, squinting at pages through the dim candlelight. it's not their fault - goblins, by default, at birth, would never care about such boring things as stories and learning. they had chaos to kick up, ruin to bestow upon the world. hob had always been different. sitting across from sadie, the bugbear's eyes are incredibly soft for someone his size, large ears twitching as he listens to her read to him. the fire warms his already insulated fur, and for once in a long time ( perhaps even for the first time ever ), knickolas feels comfortable. ' you have a very soothing voice, miss sadie, ' hob says when she pauses for a moment, hands folding together in his lap as he continues to sink into the chair that is much too small for him.
