In Vodun mythology, Erzulie Fréda Dahomeyi s the spirit of love, beauty, jewelry, dancing, luxury, and flowers. She wears three wedding rings, one for each husband - Damballa, Agwe and Ogoun. Her symbol is a heart, her colours are pink, blue, white and gold, and her favourite sacrifices include jewellery, perfume, sweet cakes and liqueurs. Coquettish and very fond of beauty and finery, Erzulie Freda is femininity and compassion embodied, yet she also has a darker side; she is seen as jealous and spoiled and within some vodoun circles is considered to be lazy. When she mounts a serviteur she flirts with all the men, and treats all the women as rivals. [x]

In Haitian Vodou, Eruzulie Freda is the lwa of Love, Beauty, and Luxury. Coquettish and very fond of beauty and finery, Erzulie Freda is femininity and compassion embodied. During ritual possession, she may enter the body of either a man or a woman. She enjoys the game of flirtation and seduces people without distinguishing between sexes. However, she also has a darker side. She is often seen as jealous, spoiled, and dramatic. If a person does not please her for whatever reason, she will plague them with boughts of depression and anger. Erzulie Freda is conceived of as never being able to attain her heart’s most fervent desire. For this reason she always leaves a service in tears. Despite her faults, her unconditional love aspects leave her willing to help with love issues and relationships.

what she means: The developers of Majora’s Mask were originally tasked with making an expansion for Ocarina of Time, but they decided that they wanted to make an entirely new game instead but they only had about a year to make it with a small staff so they made their own restrictive time limitations a part of the game with the three day cycle before the moon crashed down and killed everyone so the sense of dread and urgency in Majora’s Mask is the designers’ way of conveying the stress of the development process to the player.
