God has not called us to be just dreamers. He called us to be doers. - Pastor Carl Lentz
I want to be so on fire for Jesus that even Christians look at me funny.
Remember, Shadrach, Meshasch, and Abednego. God didn’t put out the fire. He just put Jesus in there with them and they came out without smoke. It’s not about God stopping all the things that look bad; it’s about who is in there with you.
When you enter into His presence, He doesn’t remain seated, shrug and say “It’s about time you showed up.”
Oh no. He jumps to His feet, runs in your direction, takes you into His arms and exclaims “You want to spend with me? I’m so glad you came. I love you so much. I love you so much. I love you so much.”
Somebody says this beautifully, “When your heart suffers, your whole body suffers.” Thus, guard your heart.
Don’t let evil defeat you, but defeat evil by doing good.

ITS BACK!!!!!!!!!
It is for reasons like these that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He came down as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. Before Christ, whenever someone would sin against the law of Moses, people would sacrifice an animal to beg for forgiveness. Jesus died on the cross so that we may be cleansed by his blood and we may be able to go to heaven. God came to the conclusion that we needed a savior because of the complete corruption and the terrible shape the world was in. Also so that we may all enjoy the gift of salvation. What people fail to realize is that when you sin, God is faithful and just to forgive you. Through Jesus's death and resurrection, we now have unlimited access to God through prayer in Jesus's name. We do not have to kill an animal every time we sin. Through the sacrifice of the son, we can actually develope a relationship with our Lord. A lot of the points that he brought up in the above tweets were taken out of context just to support his point. Do not be fooled.
This Weeks Inspiration
Just for this week, take a break from your full-time job of worrying! The world will still revolve on its axis and you might just be surprised at what else you can accomplish when you arent fretting over things you cant control in the first place. God has it all under control!
If God is for you, who can be against you? In the middle of the raging tide, He can walk on water. In your greatest day of trouble, He is still the Prince of Peace. When you leave your problems in Gods hands, His peace will surround you like air. Let your heart rejoice in Christ your Savior.

My heart breaks for Iraqis. Most of us in the West tend to discount or ignore the violence and persecution that they face daily.
In the last 30 days alone, there have been at least 60 deadly attacks from Islamic terrorists
ISIS sends mortar shells into a displaced persons camp, tearing at least a dozen to shreds.
Eight parents are executed for refusing to send their children to Islamic State schools.
Thirteen ISIS victims are found bound and tortured to death.
Three bomb blasts take down eight Iraqis.
The Islamic State executes twenty-five civilians by herding them into a booby-trapped house and detonating it.
and so on and so on…
Praying for my brothers and sisters in Christ to be freed from persecution and bloodshed suffered at the hands of Islamic terrorists.
Amen. It's more than following a set of laws. It's a relationship and so much more. It's way more than a lifestyle. It's beyond explanation.

Salvation
I feel that the gospel was always misunderstood. When I hear most sermons by many famous preachers they mostly talk about Jesus as the solution to your problems. When you're in a mess in your life, just turn to God and everything will be ok. They focus so much on this concept that in the last days, when there's nothing but chaos, people will start to turn away from Christianity and Jesus because they realize that their problems aren't being solved anymore. Jesus is so much more that a problem solver. He is so much more than a healer. He is a redeemer, a councilor, a savior, a king, the beginning, the end and so much more! He came down from his glory to set an example for us all and to die for all of our sins. He died so we may all have salvation! He pours his never-ending grace upon us each and everyday. For when we sin he is gracious enough to forgive us! Don't push your luck though. He died so we may have a chance to go to heaven. And to show his power, he rose again on the 3rd day and ascended into heaven. The opportunity of salvation is open to is all. We just have to believe and have faith. Jesus is the answer to all your problems but don't forget your true destination. Heaven.
