“The greatest step of faith we can take is to trust God {BEFORE} we see the results of our efforts. Whether we fail or succeed, God will still be with us. When we give Him everything, He can take our best and make it better!”

honestly, hearing about Jesus’s death every year kind of makes us desensitized, i think. Yeah, yeah, we know He died for us, to forgive our sins, and took our punishment.
But the truth is this: He DID die for us. He had NAILS driven through His hands and feet. And with EVERY. BREATH. His body sunk down, causing more and more excruciating pain. And He was flesh, just like us, so He felt everything. Heck, when we stub our toe it’s like the world is ending.
But our Savior suffered it all. For THREE hours. He actually bled out. He shed all 3ish liters of blood in His body. For you. And for me. He endured taunting. How easily could He have proved the people laughing at Him that He WAS and IS the Son of God?? And yet He endured- because of His love for you and for me.
His suffering and agony was so great that God turned His face away. The earth shook and the sky turned black.
And the most important message of all? That He died for EVERYONE. Even if you don’t believe Jesus existed, if you don’t believe He was the Son of God, if you don’t know WHAT to believe — His death and the eternal gift offered because He died and *spoiler alert* He rose from the dead, that gift is still offered to you. And I just hope and pray that someday you will choose to accept it.

Canadian Rockies The desert has been incredible. The journey has been quick. However, I think it’s time to take a moment of pause to look at the things most important in life. Sometimes timing is unfortunate, but it doesn’t mean the intentions were never there. I wish there was a book that said, ‘do this now!’, or 'wait that’s not what you do, do this instead’. I hope those involved with my life understand I’m not perfect and that there’s an entire life ahead of us to let me show you.
