It takes courage to take action and step out to do something you've never done before. Think about the people who never had the internet or a library to study what they knew God gave them. They stepped out on faith, put their trust in Him and the instinct He gave them. It's ok to be vulnerable. Vulnerability is a necessary part of loving relationships. It's the one thing that allows for mutual trust to fully develop, however, this is only the case when both parties allow themselves to be vulnerable to the other. It can't be just one that's being vulnerable, and unfortunately most relationships have one party feeling much more vulnerable than the other. Being the vulnerable one in a relationship can be difficult. Not just because of what it allows or doesn't allow for, but also because it's difficult to cope with. Being vulnerable and being the only one vulnerable just adds to your vulnerability, and most of all, it can be incredibly difficult to understand what the way you are feeling really means. There's a difference between the price of something, and cost of something. The price is what a buyer pays for an object, and the cost is the expense that the seller pays to provide that object for the buyer. It’s what the seller loses in exchange for being able to sell the object.
I want you to think about your value. Think about what you give in your relationships. There is a cost for everything that you give in your relationships. What you get is the price paid by someone to be with you. What you give is the cost you pay to be with someone.
Remember, when you choose to love someone, you're giving them access to your heart. You're giving them power over your heart. It's important that you're careful of who you give this power to. Be sure that you can trust the person with every part of you. Not only that, but be mindful of the power that you have over that person as well.

I never really believed in the rhetoric “You are what you attract". In most cases, that's completely false. Scammers don't look for other scammers, they look for the perfect mark. Dating is no different. People who have bad intentions look for someone to get over on and the traits they zero in on usually aren't negative. He/she is too nice, too loving, too generous, too innocent and nieve, etc. To blame someone for falling in love based on a false presentation is a form of victim blaming. Yes we can all do better with seeing red flags but let's not forget the it's the ones with the best hearts that get hurt the worse and the most often. Instead of blaming them show a little compassion and give them some solid advice, or just be quiet. #LetThatMarinate
People who suffer from abandonment issues actually abandon themselves at the expense of making everyone else happy. It's usually done in hopes that the outside source they are giving that effort will in turn mirror that behavior back to them.
I'm starting to realize that I’m a stereo traditional "nice guy". Usually codependent and needy. But you get tired of giving yourself up to everybody, which in turn can make us more socially distant. We forget who we are as an individual. That is where our fault lies. #LetThatMarinate

What is real love? Real love is knowing a person's weakness and not take advantage of them, but help strengthen their weakness. Real love is knowing their flaws, but accepting them for who they are nevertheless. Real love is when you can be yourself around them without feeling nervous of what they may think of you. Real love is being able to wake up next to them in the morning and fall in love with them all over again, even with stank breath and eye crust, lol. Real love is when you see so much potential in them that they don't even see in themselves and you want to bring it out of them. Real love is when you put their needs before yours. Real love is being willing to sacrifice your imaginative fairy tale of how a relationship should be for the reality of being with someone who's far from perfect. Most of all, real love is making sure that God is always included. Here are some things to remember when going into a relationship, and things to forget when you get there:
The love you have for yourself should surpass and withstand the weight of anything else coming in your life to change it. Your heart is your base. Intention is the backbone of any relationship. The people who come in your life will reveal their motive through their actions and patterns. Trust what you see. Overtime when getting to know someone, a lot of energy is exchanged. Words begin to feel different, softer. Don't forget to do pulse checks. People's intentions reveal overtime. It might even confuse what you already feel because you trusted somebody’s word before your own intuition. Anytime there’s a switch in communication from hot to cold, that's a red flag; emotions have a natural way of progressing unless forced or faked.
Your worth should always be your centerpiece; it’s a saving grace when emotions can’t decipher when you’re being disrespected or being played. After a while, the dumb grow wiser, the liar becomes a master, and words become sharper with more precision. Don't be a victim of this illusion. Trust your intuition. Trust your logic. Trust your spirit. Don't neglect one to compensate for the other. They work together for a reason.
Sometimes, people will come in your life because they’re attracted to your energy, but they’ll misuse it for their own healing. Let that go. Keep your heart soft. Don't create walls to close yourself in, it’s suffocating. Those who misuse you will also teach you to check your pulse. Those who come in your life with intentions to heal don’t leave you once they reach that healing. Those who had intentions to stay, do.
Whenever your heart goes, bring your mind with you. Exercise your patience, but trust what you feel and communicate that. It can be healthy. Be good to your heart. Be graceful with others. Forgive those who leave dents and make room for those who want to heal with you.
More than anything, love yourself. You can’t fix anyone. Be happy for those you’ve healed. continue to be yourself, and that is always enough.
